Looks like MBB is a color option. I'm a fan.

Not remotely interested in a G-Wagon…

Even after seeing the new front in person, I'm still not an LCI X7 fan BUT this Alpina green, lip and painted bumper looks good!

The front is definitely less tragic in the Alpina. It works better for sure. Still not a fan of the headlights but this would be the only model I would buy if I was forced to buy the current split light version.

Really they're not. Hit them with wheel cleaner, pressure wash the dirt and grime off, wipe dry with a towel.

Maybe hard is the wrong word. Let's say time consuming vs a 5 spoke wheel.

I am still not convinced whether I like the split lights, but this version of Alpina looks good in front. The pre-LCI Alpina is big no no for me.

I wonder why Alpina doesn't have their own design for the leather seats. I kind of thought the interior would be a little more upgraded than BMW's original design.

They do have bespoke interiors made with ultra premium Lavalina leather. The problem is that they won't sell it to us in the States. Blame the stupid ass US NHTSA regulations.

I have washed the X7 several times, and it's huge compared to the prior X5. Finally reached the point (or perhaps attained "the level") that a car wash service is required

Ok I see now. I've heard of the Lavalina before in the B8 sedan but I thought was still the same BMW design according to the photos. This is very nice! Thanks for the help.

No prob. If you're in Europe you can reach out to Alpina directly and customize till your hearts content.

From what I understand you can go from mild to wild and they will accommodate you. Not sure for how much longer as BMW recently absorbed them.

The G-Wagons are for a different audience who like old technology box shape designs. Basically a jeep wrangler with some Benz interior but prized very high so people can show off with it. The Alpina XB7 is in a different class, so not comparable.
I really love the Range Rover beauty but I wish they could improve the reliability, then it will be my go to car. For now, BMW wins IMHO.

Have the dealerships received any allocations for the XB7? Or is too early? Thank you.

Usually only high volume dealers can get an Alpina allocation. Try Bill Jacobs or Knauz in Chicagoland area.
