2023 PPF Coverage Suggestions

What sections of the exterior would you suggest having covered? It is for my wife, - Marina Bay Blue with Black wheels-im60. . Was going to have ceramic coated also. Thanks

This will be completely subjective, hence, I will start with my personal opinion: Anything other than the front hood (and perhaps the front bumper) is a complete waste of money and useless. Then I would do ceramic coating on the entire vehicle, and use good practice when washing it.
My vehicle has ceramic coating, and the sides are flawless! I have taken it for ~40K miles so far on highways and a ton of state-to-state trips. Hood can take some touch ups for some rock chips from time to time, and perhaps if I had PPF, it may look better but anyway would need to replace PPF due to rock chips by now if I had it (hence the extra cost and hassle of redoing it doesn't justify the value). Sides are flawless, literally, hence and PPF to me is useless, gets no measurable value at all, and is a waste of money for no benefit (on the sides or any panel other than the front). Just my opinion...

I would recommend the entire front of the car, including the headlights, and also the entire hood. I also like to do the sideview mirrors and if you don’t have runningboards, I would do the rocker panels. I would also consider the inside flange of the wheel wells.

Front - including the first 12 inches of the hood - and all the black pieces. I also did the rockers up to the first body line, including the black trim.

I'd talk with the installers on that.

Most shops start at $2500 as a conversation for front coverage

I had my front hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors and A-post PPF and the rest ceramic coated. I think that's all you need, and the cost is right around $2500 depending on shop.

I did all after the front PPF. As long as you do the maintenance washes, the paint well always look amazing, lol

Honestly- that hood gets a LOT of debris along with the bumper. That would be my goal- just protect the front of the car.

Ceramic did so so- but the big chips happen in the north east from roads.

Did anyone do Xpel PPF for 40i Luxury trim? The installer says they have cutouts for 2023 M-sport and 60i models but not for 40i Luxury model.

The front bumper design is different between Luxury and M Sport versions.

I get ceramic everywhere. Glass, ppf, lights, trim, calipers and wheels. Makes cleaning brake dust a breeze. You'll want to get ceramic after ppf.
