Anyone ever have a short circuit in their headlights?

Hey guys, I have an 06 330i. I seem to have a short circuit somewhere in my left headlight and the following problems occur:

Instead of looking like this:

It looks like this:

in addition, when using my left blinker, amber part of the headlamp does not blink and the rest of the lights blink a lot quicker (at a greater frequency). i get an adaptive headlamp malfunction error code and when using a scanner it says theres a short circuit.

anyone ever have a similar problem? how big of an issue is this?

Your front turn signal bulb is probably just burnt out, have you tried a new one?

Yeah that quick blinking is a sure sign of a spent bulb. Should be an easy/cheap fix.

If you're getting an adaptive headlight error than there would be an error in the display in your instrument cluster. (in yellow)

I have it one because my SMC II fried in my driver's side headlight...didn't seal my lens up correctly after fitting angel eyes.

see i was wondering the same thing, however, when this issue first started, the light randomly worked. There were times where the amber part was lit, but when trying to use my turn signal, the light just remained on (without blinking) and all the other lights were blinking rapidly. recently, i havent seen it on much tho
