XB7 All Season Tires in Winter?

Anyone have experience with these?
I am not even sure which tires it has, I have the 21" all season run flats. (I know, go look at the car and see which tires I have but its at the auto spa getting PPF installed)

Wondering if I should get a set of Blizzaks or Scorpions for the winter?

If so what are the negatives of going with the same wheels and just having the tires swapped?

I don't feel like paying for another set of Alpina rims just for winter tires

Im in Metro Detroit, its not like we get several inches at a time in general but traction is always my concern.

Negatives include possible damage to tires or wheels with repeated tire changes over lifetime of tires. Honestly I have done both, dedicated tires/wheels for winter and also change of tires only, I end up spending less when I just get the tires swap with seasons because OEM wheels/tire sets are more expensive. I also don’t keep cars for more than three years and always get stuck with a set of wheels/tires that I can’t sell after I change vehicles…end up giving them away to friends..

I have the factory 23s on right now but got a full set of winters w/ alpina 21s for winter off another forum member here. I don’t want to mess up my suspension with cheap rims.

Has anyone installed Pirelli Scorpion Zero ALL SEASON on their 23” Alpina XB7 wheels?

They come in 285/35/23 and 325/30/23 and are listed as the OE tire for Aston Martin

Seems like a decent option for year-round driving and will perform better in the snow than the P Zero summer tires

Oh why why why cant we put chains on!!!

OK
First snow that stuck a little on the roads this AM here and at a stop I noticed I slid a little more than I am comfortable with and after reading more and more about "All Season" tires I decided I want to get winters.
The shop around the corner specializes in high end vehicles and has the tire change machine you are required for Lamborghini etc and my buddy has used them several times with no issues. They are even a TireRack dealer so I am ordering a set of the Blizzak run flat winters to get installed as we will be doing a couple trips up north to ski this winter and I just would rather have an even safer tire for the winter roads.

I've taken our X7 with the 21 all seasons to Minot, ND over Xmas and it did well. Also, we just got 8" of snow here the last few days and it drove like a champ. Now, this is occasional driving and weather like this is rare but if it was all winter long then I might invest in winter tires.

I have Vredestein Quatrac Pro on our 21” wheels. A great alternative to the run flats from the factory. We’re supposed to get snow this weekend so I’ll try them out in snow for the first time.

Surprisingly few people talk about these tires but they’ve been great so far for us, through lots of rainy driving.

I just got Michelin latitude cross 21” and they’re way beefier than the stock. Getting them replaced tomorrow.
