Like what the 8er coupe does to the 7er sedan's second row? At least with the X8 they can get rid of the third row and potentially give a more spacious second row.

... and THAT is what I was hoping for with the X7, but didn't get. I have no need for a 3rd row. I was hoping for a 7-series SUV with a luxurious and spacious 2nd row. The X7 is not that.

You could say the same thing about the X6 and every other SUV with rear roofline chopped down. Defeats the whole increased utility purpose of an SUV. I still hate that they call these coupes since they are not, by the definition of "coupe".
