Mineral Silver 2010 X6 5.0
Just got my new 2010 X6 5.0 w/all options except for 40 hp power upgrade, leather dashboard and 20" performance tires (I drive in snow all the time and performance tires simply don't work for that). Black perforated leather active ventilated comfort seats, heads up display, sport package, comfort access, auto high beams, top view camera (new for 2010 and fantastic) and the best sounding audio system yet in a vehicle (and I now about this stuff because I designed high end home theaters, music systems and professional recording studios). Mineral Silver does not come through well in digital imaging. Has to be seen on the metal to appreciate. I've several BMW's from 1972-1989 and Mercedes from 1990-2009, and the X6 is the best built and most beautiful so far. And it's made right here in the USA. We can do it better.

Thank you! I almost went with the Vermilion Red, but then saw one of these at a dealer. Changed my order to Mineral Silver immediately. I think it makes the X6 look more elegant, but less sporty. I am a classical symphony musician, so I don't want something bright and glitzy that will attract attention. Sort of like playing an a orchestra, play well and stand out in your solos, but keep your head down and blend in all other times.

I have seen the mineral silver on the car and you are right pictures don't do it justice.
This is one of the better colors for the X6. Enjoy |

I am curious to know if they upgraded the base system as well ... I honestly wasn't planning on ordering the premium sound because I am under the impression that the standard system is more than fine for non-audiophiles. |

About the Ventilated seats
Car looks great!
Are you enjoying the ventilated seats? I'm getting ready to make my final order this week and am considering the ventilated seat option.. Can you adjust the temperature or volume of airflow? The dash makes it look like it's only an on/off option.. When you use the heated seats do you still get that warm radiant heat pad sensation like you would w/o ventilated seats (traditional heated seats) Thanks |

Can we get some closeups of the perf leather seats, please take shots from multiple angles. I want to see what they look like so I can compare them to the regular seats. Thanks
