Adaptive Headlights Question

I have a 330i with Sport Package (not much else) and I was wondering if I have adaptive headlights. I have the Xenons of course, but I was driving around the other night, and I could not notice the headlights moving side to side around low speed corners at full lock. Can you actually notice the headlights turning? In the video posted under the media section, I noticed that the lights were noticably turning.

I guess my question is: are adaptive headlights an option with Xenons, or are they standard with Xenons?

They are standard with Xenons in the US. So, you do have adaptive headlights that should turn with you.

The 330i comes with the Adaptive headlights standard...you have it but it'll only operates in the "A" (auto) position on the light switch. if you turn your lights to the maunaul Low beam setting (all the way to the right), the adaptive heanlights won't work. You can test it by having someone turn the wheel and you watch it from outside...you'll see the lens turning from side to side.

Guys, thanks very much. I didn't realize it was only active on the "A" or Automatic setting. I will give it a try.

Just turn them on in your garage and thurn your wheel. You'll see the light beam move.

This is not the standard Adaptive Headlights. You have to instal iSee/iSteer on top of iDrive to get this. Also, it uses the radar component of Adaptive Cruise Control to actually "see", so you have to have that too. But, as you can see, it will focus in on quite close objects.

As far as I am aware, the adaptive part of the Xenon's which is standard is the up down movement aka auto-leveling.
The seeing round corners adaptive lights is an option. It uses the DSC, the speed of the car and the yaw rate in conjunction with the steering wheel angle to determine how much to turn the lights. I've never heard of the active cruise control radar being used. (I could be missinformed however)

Yeah, and you can get all this in a sweet bundle if you get the iSleep package.
