Car and App Not Connecting

Anyone having trouble connecting your car to the app? My car won't connect to My Bmw Id...says "No Mobile Data Reception at Current Location"?
BMW "genius" couldn't seem to figure out how to connect me? Suggested I might need a new module?? Not sure what that is....

Anyone have any advice?

No issues on any of my BMWs with this. Have you paired your phone within the car? Tried moving the car to a different location with a clear view of the sky?

I have. Reset Idrive, Wifi, Bluetooth, and app is up to date...was hoping to avoid taking it to the dealer....but I may have too. Thx for your input!

That's bizarre. Must be a programming issue or a hardware issue.

I think you'll be forced to take it into the dealership.

Happened to me 2 weeks ago, I deleted the virtual key from my iPhone then reinstalled it and app started working again, the phone key wasn’t working that well either. If you’re using iPhone try doing it to see if it helps

Mine has been at the dealer for the past 7 days for this. Originally, they said BMW had to "reset" something...before resetting things at the dealer....that didn't work. Then they said the TCU (telematics Communication Unit i think) was faulty....they replaced that...still not fully working. The dealer has had a BMW engineer supposedly "working on the issue"....to no avail yet. Dealer said there are 2 more modules that could be the issue....so we keep moving...at a snails pace.

They really don't seem to know the computer side of their cars that well. Will let you know if mine gets fixed and what solved the problem.

I'm curios is the product specialist was new, And I would love to try and diagnose this, I've never had an issue setting up someone's app to the vehicle. If you still cant get it let me know.
