So apparently I found out they changed my production week from 25 to 30 (which would have started July 30).

However, today, I see I finally got a VIN and said that it "entered the production queue today" which is the third dot. Does that mean they are actually going to start it this week?

Not necessarily. This means that they have allocated parts and the parts are getting ordered now, usually takes about 1-3 weeks (I am on 3rd week since I got that same thing), and then once it hits the exterior body assembly, it will be done in 4-5 days and depending on your location, will be delivered within a week.

So you are going to spend ~25-28k for speakers? I realize that the m50i is a great upgrade, however I am not crazy enough to upgrade to that level for just speakers. Also, some buyers do like the better fuel economy of the 40i, so they buy that version and that is exactly why I have bought that version. I have a X3MC for my performance needs along with some practicality. I have better headphones and an amp to listen to better audio at home, I am not mixing music in the car, so don't see the speakers as deal breakers. I am not blasting the music in any of my cars so I don't need a powerful system.

That being said, it is a poor decision by BMW to not give 40i buyers the option to upgrade to BW speakers, I would gladly pay 4k for the option to keep it more "exclusive."

Lol, I was livid when I heard that I won't get DHP on my X7, but I calmed down as I wasn't going to test it like my x3mc.

No, I just didn't opt for the sport gearbox and SA told me, that there won't be paddle shifters, and fellow member here told me that there has to be shifters..

Maybe it's country specific. I didn't opt for sport gearbox, but it's standard in USA, and paddle shifters are standard as well. Even in the base Xline/Luxury trim.

In EU configurator sport gearbox is standard, with paddles, but you can unmark it and opt for non sport gearbox.. Or at least you could in April..

I completely agree! Have you decided to upgrade your system yet? It’s what held me back from purchasing it and simply leasing it. Even today, I am contemplating whether to just cancel my order since it hasn’t started production and find something else in the meantime. But it’s a great SAV otherwise and hard to find better in my opinion. Not a fan of the GLS interior and SBUX. Cadillac is asking 10k over MSRP on the new Escalade, no thanks!
