Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue" a few days ago, with a VIN. Does anyone know if that means it's *actually* safely on its way to getting built, or a chance still that it could be hung up / pulled back?

I ordered mine on 4/26 with premium package. Completion date is tomorrow (May 4th). The “track status” function shows it in final assembly today. When looking at the options, it has the HK in there still.

This is what I see for premium package ( based in US). It used to be 5 options and now it's 4

I ordered from a larger dealership. It does seem that they give deference to larger dealers.

Yes same here. My SA just called to confirm if I want to go ahead with the order and I said yes. Its disappointing to go without the HK's, but I absolutely wanted Dynamic Handling Package, which none of the dealer inventory cars have as an option. I was glad that I was still able to get week 19 build

It's great that you got week 19 . I just called BMW genius and was told I got week May 24th (Week 23 I believe). I ordered on Apr 23 and make a modification on 26th by adding the IAS. I guess that's why I got pushed from week 19th to the 23th. I'm not a audio guy, but I still want to have the HK, not a $650 discount:

This whole HK issue has me worried. We had to go put in an order for the m50i since HK was not available on the 40i. Even though HK is a standard feature for m50i it's now showing up here so it has me a little concerned.

No, this is a well-known disconnect between the website and the actual option. If you get the sunshade option, it's electric.

It's just an error the x7s only come with electric or without shades. They don't make them with manual shades.

The build weeks are a little confusing because Genius gives you the week the car will be completed, whereas my dealer gave me week 19, which is the week the car enters production. It take 2 weeks from the time car enters production to being completed. If Genius told you May 24th (which is week 21) then your production should begin next week.

Honestly, I dont care too much about the audio and my kids don't let me listen to audio anyways. They have their iPAD on and want the audio coming through the car speakers. It disappointing not to have HK's, but the standard audio should be sufficient for our use.

If audio is not a big concern then option without it.

I can't just see myself buying a vehicle $100k+ and having a basic audio system.

I didn't see HK under the standard features so I'm going to have my sales person confirm or else we have to cancel the build.

Like someone said it's gonna suck for anyone buying used in the future. You can have a loaded car with every option and have HK missing.

If they let my add B&W speakers on 40i, I will add it for the lights

I tried adding B&W to my original 40i build and it wasn't possible either. That's why we ending up going with an m50.

Also how do I find out what week # my build would be? My CA told me June production date. So I wasn't sure if there was any other way to check.
