Echoes what my SA said to me regarding "Individual" options. Would add 1-2 months to a build.

not really, if anything the M60i should be lower allocations than the 40i
my dealer is a fairly small one outside of NYC, i find it hard to believe that your dealer got no allocations if they are 1 of 4 in a major area.

i would call and ask other dealers in your area if you wanted to order a 2023 when would it arrive.

Thanks. I'll check around. Our interior is ivory and gray so I wonder if that is causing it to take longer but it seems they would still get the allocation and just have a longer duration for production?

yes, it should delay the production but not the allocation

I just got my production number today as well. I have the ivory and Atlas gray individual interior and they have assigned me week 34 which is late August.

its the last date the order can be changed.
usually its when the status turns 150, about two weeks before production begins, but for individual orders, its earlier, hence "ind. block date"

I'm happy to see everyone getting their orders in. After putting a deposit down in April and told I was first in line, I was told today by my local dealer that they were only allocated one 40i even though I requested the M60i. Now, I'm told I have to wait for the dealership to receive an M60i allocation, but they can't give me a timeframe of when that may occur. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm extremely frustrated after waiting several months to place this order.

Being bugging my dealer for months and finally placed my order on June 15. SF bay area, large dealer. Checked with my SA, my Copper x40i is the 8th in my dealership, and none of them had a production number yet.

My dealer said it could be up to 4 months extra time. I opted to go with the extended leather in the Ivory White. From my understanding, (according to the dealer) most people will never notice the full vs the extended, as leatherette is used in all the same locations as the full. I did pay for the dash upgrade though..

My dealer told me I was second in line for M60i weeks ago, but he also said he felt fairly confident they’d get at least two. BMW of Austin has to be a pretty large dealer by volume. Up until recently, they were the only dealer in town and have been around for decades. For the past 20-30 years, all the tech money in Austin resulted in a lot of BMWs mostly moved through this dealer. Furthermore, I follow them on social media and they routinely have very rare/exclusive BMWs moving through, CSL/GTS, Limerock Editions, Alpinas, etc. So my guess is they got a reasonable allocation.

No I'm not... but I did when I ordered my x5 3 years ago.. and seems many others did as well at that particular dealership. It doesn't seem to make sense that they'd only get one allocation as there shouldn't be any shortage of SUV allocations. Turns out this dealer was playing games. Not sure if it's the same issue you're experiencing or not.

I have this issue. I ordered in June and the dealer today said they didnt get an X7 allocation and they hope to get one in September now. I called around and found one other dealer that has an allocation and said they can switch it to my configuration but they arent able to tell me when it will go into production or than "soon".

My CA sent me the Vehicle Inquiry Report for my order. I suggest you request one for your order, as it specifically details everything that will be on the car. I wouldn't trust what the website tells you. Top left of that report lists the current status of the order.

My order has the Brooklyn Grey color. Wife fell it love with it when she saw it at the dealer on a random car a few months ago (was there to test drive an iX50). First time I have ever heard her comment on a color, unsolicited.

An interesting side note. The My BMW Garage has "Decoding for no-dazzle hgh bm" listed on the build, but the inquiry report does not. I trust the inquiry report more than the garage. Wonder if they are finally allowing the no-dazzle headlights in the US (I know the government approved them earlier this year). Or maybe it falls under that 8TT code.

i believe its part of 8TT
if you dig through the build codes from the source code of the web page, its there:

Question for the experienced folks here:

What do the below items mean?
Decoding additional functions
Decoding for no-dazzle hgh bm

I’ve seen references on chats here to the latter. Does that mean they’re making it available? As for the “additional functions” any idea what those might be?

decoding means disabling. so they are disabling "additional functions" and disabling no dazzle high beams.

usually its features that aren't approved for the market.
the code for the decoding of additional functions is 8TT, haven't been able to find out definitively what that is
