Chinese characters

Picked up my 328 on weekend and to my pleasant surprise, the prof nav showed Chinese characters! Although not on the HUD but on the nav screen, the characters does show.

Loving the car ATM.

ooo NBT nav is pretty. I'll have to load song with hanzi to see if it works for me given I have the earlier version.

Asian character will not work with the old HU_CIC as the headunit lacks the font to display... unless you have a Hong Kong/China/Taiwan/Japan/Korea headunit

the new generation HU_NBT have all the asian font built in

I should have known this, I remember that my mother in law's name doesn't show correctly in my phone book because it's written using Hanzi.

I wonder how expensive (let alone possible) it is to retrofit the NBT Pro nav over the top of the CIC Pro nav system...

I say so. Highly likely.

Note though it won't show the chinese characters in the HUD, only on the nav screen.

I was almost pulling the trigger for the HUD, but too pricey for $2000 after LCT.

I have the nav professional 609 option in my memory which is the new head unit

The HUD is great, especially since it is colour (unlike our X3 which wasn't full colour).

DAB is great too.
