Putting 30" winter tires on my X7 compared to the 31" stock tires. There are options in the idrive menu for various winter set up sizes, but all are 31"... is there a way to code a 30" tire instead?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I've tuned my diesel trucks and changed the tire height in the ECU for upgraded larger diameters, but have never tried to mess with any of my BMWs before.

I was quoting the overall height of the tire... which is what matters for determining ground speed

ahh... makes sense.

Idrive only uses the tire size to calculate needed PSI. As long as you maintain the tire diameter you'll be okay as long as the 20's clear the front brakes.

Does anyone have the mirror angle change and the legal disclaimer off
working on G05/07?
And if so how did you code it?
I tried to make it work many times but no luck ((
Thanks

Should it be coded in diagnostic mode or something?
When I change the parameters the disclaimer stays always ON not even default 3-5 sec.
And the mirror angle stays the same on whatever settings.

I always code with engine running (unless applying change to engine ECU).

Failure to observe change could be user error or mapping issue. I just coded both on three different cars and it worked.

I am very busy at work and have no personal time at all lately. I wonder if there's a guru in Brooklyn who I can rely on adding all the tweaks we're all talk about here?

There are a number of individuals (including I) that can do it remotely and a few that are local to Northeast.

Exception is cars (S18A?) with DSC VIP2 (istep 11/2019 and later). Can only be coded in diag mode. Same for EPS ECU

What model do you have?

I've seen it on G05/G07 and multiple reports on this board. Throws up a wdbi_plain error and cannot fdl or vo code.

Couldn't code those 2 ECU at all until I saw istep upgrade was coding both ECU without issue in diag mode and put 2+2 together.

Started after 19-11 istep update which coincidentally had an activation code campaign on VIP.

Do you reset you codings before you bring it to the bmw dealer? Do they take issue with obvious codings like alpina instrument cluster?

G05/G07/G20/ETC. I will watch out for error and report back if I run into it.

if I feel like it, and I'm going in for something broken, I'll reset the obvious stuff and pull off my racechip.

last time, when my comfort access controller crapped out entirely, I pulled the racechip and left everything as-is (alpina dash colors, yada yada) and it came back to me with everything reset since installing CA module requires a fresh pave of all systems.

Amount of crap I got from the dealership: less than zero. Hell, they even mentioned they liked my wheels. The upshot is nobody cares about stuff you can mess with using Bimmercode. It doesn't hurt anything.

I don't and never had an issue in the past with any of my BMWs, to include my X7 now. That includes two recent occasions when I had the dealer update my software to address a bug with my X7.

I tried every mode but still can not code that mirror angle and camera disclaimer. It works on F34 and others.
But can't make it work on G05!
Any ideas...

And one more thing.
Is it possible to code an Alpina gearbox on our G05/07?
What do you think?
