Phasers- thanks so much for your reply. No question, I'd bet the whole amount it'll be worth more than that after 3 years. I found Caredge.com. I'm not sure if this is a reliable source, but we all know we can't predict the future too. If we could, this would be a super safe bet.
For the economics alone, buying outright makes sense. I just wasn't sure if I would like the X7 to keep for 6+ years, or, maybe more importantly, if I need a repair after the 4/50 expires, is it gonna knock me out! (I just have heard that German auto repairs are through the roof vs. domestic mfgs).
I figured the one-pay, would offer me (certainly at a pretty good dollar premium) the chance to drive a BMW for 3 years and then re-evaluate.
I understand the UC+ is a good deal and that the price is not negotiable.
I was all set to buy when the dealer offered a one-pay. Maybe its better for them.
Anyway, I appreciate the chance to listen to others. Thanks,

So ive been trying to proceed Leasing vs buying to look at costs

Let me know what you guys think of my math here...

looks like at 3 years, with a resale price of 60k, its cheaper to buy... to the tune of 18k??

Why are your fees for lease and purchase the same? Isn't there a lease acquisition fee of around $1k and a lease turn in fee of also around $1k making the fees for a lease about $2k more than a purchase?

Did you get 3.99% rates thru BMW Financial or Credit union?

Hey forum members -- for anyone that might be impatient, I am doing a favor for my SA. I had ordered a fully loaded saphire black M60i with bench seating and it accidentally got ordered with captains chairs, resulting in a second order being placed. Both cars arrived this week but I made a last minute audible call and purchased the new 2023 LWB Range Rover, leaving him a bit high and dry. I had just picked up the '23 M850 convertible and decided to do something different.

This isn't a flex, I really like the SA, so if you are in the market for a black M60i, fully loaded, they have two and you wouldn't need to wait through QA and shipping. The two cars are in Orange County, CA and can sell for MSRP.

The SA is Jason Demond -- Jasond@irvinebmw.com, *cell +1 (714) 878-5477‬.

I told him I was posting this, but feel free to mention you saw it on Bimmerpost (no, I don't get a kickback, just trying to help out the dealership moving these two great builds), which I'm sure will sell quickly.

Requesting Lease Quote feedback

I live in Minneapolis, and I just got the following quote for 2023 BMW X7xDrive40i (Build Code: EVUVSSX2). Can anyone tell me if this is a decent lease quote or if you think I can get better?

MSRP $89,945
52% Residual
10,000 Miles a Year
$0 Down
$1,845 Monthly Payment
$6,566.56 Tax & Other fees (Govt fees, doc fee, acq. Fee)
2,598 premium plus protection (Required by dealer)

They did not give me lease money factor but under purchase option quoted finance rate of 5.79% which seems super high with excellent credit.

First time leasing a BMW and would appreciate any feedback or suggestion.

Current BMW FS MF is 0.0020, which translates to 4.8%. Some dealers mark it up. Btw, if it's a 36 months lease with 10k miles per year, your RV should be 53%, not 52%.

Anyone in the New England area get a discount off of MSRP lately? Looking to place a custom order for a new 40i if anyone has a recommendation.

That's amazing. Best I could find is $1k off of MSRP across all the dealers in MA, NH and CT.

Just placed my first ever custom order for a new 40i and paid full MSRP. If you don't want to pay sticker, it's next man up around here in the Boston area. I could have got $1k off up in NH but I honestly didn't want to deal with driving 1.5 hours from the South Shore multiple times. My dealer threw in some all weather mats and a luggage liner to help ease the pain.

I'm still waiting on an allocation, but as of now my dealer has agreed to comp the M Sport Pro Package ($1350) on a $97K X40i build. Because I'm being told that Black Extended Merino Leather is not currently available and will have to opt for Full Merino Leather if I want leather at all, I'm also going to ask the dealer make up that difference ($2700). I'll update after I broach this topic with the dealer.

I ordered my 40i today and had to pay up the additional $2,700 for full black merino because the extended wasn't available. Wasn't going to settle for Sensafin and only wanted black. Sucks to invest in something I won't really appreciate and don't even know what I am getting beyond the leather dashboard.

The thing that really irritated me was not being able to the Dynamic Handling Package. In the slim chance it becomes available again before I get my allocation the dealer is going to add it.

Is what it is…

I hear you. I didn't opt for the complete DHP, but I did want the IAS. That, as of right now, is 86'd off my build as well.

Very interested to see how your dealer reacts when you ask for the full merino price increase to be comped. I didn't have the balls to ask when I was getting the impression I was lucky to get some free floor mats!
