Rear main leak?

Does anyone know if you can see the rear main seal with the oil pan off? I had someone change the oil pan gasket and my car is still leaking but now he's telling me that my rear main seal is leaking. I don't know what I should do because I think he messed up the oil pan gasket....

I kind of in the same boat. I suspect mine is the oil pan gasket but it could be the rear main seal. Did you check the hole in the transmission bell housing to see if it had oil? Did you clean the area and see where it was leaking out?

Yeah I checked the hole and besides a dirty and regular engine residue, it was dry. Noting wet at at yet I'm still get a drip right out of that crack. I have no clue where to look.
