I find that never actually works.....this is in 3 different cars, too. It would still never come on under the temperature threshold. A lot of people have experienced the same on here I found out......

You haven't had any issues?
No issues to report either. Works as intended.

Interesting. No, I haven't had any problems with it either. Always comes on for me below my set threshold of 40 degrees F. Seat heat also works consistent for me too.
I still have a "bug" where the steering wheel heat will come on even 20 deg ABOVE my set point or even when it is set to OFF. Go figure… :…

I shall try again…..honestly have tried it in X5M but it didn't work in my F90 nor the X7.

I tried to code auto lane change on my 2022 X7 M50i with ASSISTED DRIVE. My car has driver assistant professional package
I used bimmercode(paid version) + OBDLink CX adapter
All following 4 options were already set to aktiv (01)

CB_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS: aktiv (01)
CB_PRESELECT_NAVI_ANSICHT_FZG_UMGEBUNG: aktiv (01)
PIA_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS: aktiv (01)
SICHT_ABSICHT_ENABLE: aktiv (01)

When I active this driver assistant function, car can follow the front traffic without me touching the steer wheel. But with turn signal on, car doesn't change lane, and no green lane change arrow on instrument display either.

Please help.

CLIMATE CONTROL RULES CODING

Has anyone used the x5 coding for the front passenger climate control rules on the x7. If so does it work. Can it be done with bimmercode enet cable to android. Have used Bimmercode but have not ventured into advanced

Here is what is for x5:

r33_RGSport not only coded this for me (remotely) with E-SYS, but the rear seats as well. The cool thing is, it only activates if someone is actually sitting in the seat. I was worried about overusing the passenger seat heats when people aren't in the seats, but that's an extra goodie. Now I can make seat heat, and ventilation for the front passenger seat, automatically come on with temperature conditions I choose.

Superpanjy,

I attempted to enable the 4 settings above and I came across the same thing where signalling did not allow the Driver Assistant to change lanes. However, it still required me to touch the steering wheel before deactivating the system.

That said, once I deactivated all 4 settings, it allowed me to change lanes again (you cannot fully engage the turn signal, but just pull down, or up the turn signal without fully engaging and the Driver Assistant then changed lanes successfully).

Were you able to figure this out on your own where you are able to activate the Driver Assistant without touching the steering wheel, along with having the Driver Assistant change lanes for you automatically as well?

Just an update here....sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Same thing happening in my 22 X5M, too. I don't know why it's so occasional....

I used Bimmercode to enable Driver Assisted View. I used a Youtube video that walks through it.

I haven't coded my 2022 X7 40i and planning to buy BimmerCode and odb adapter if the features below are can be coded;

1- Turn on pathway lights in reverse
2- Enable touch screen address entry while driving. (iDrive controller is not touchpad due to chip shortage)
3- Tilt down the right mirror in reverse
4- Active parking brake even if AutoHold is not active

I'm not sure 1, 2, or 4 can be coded in bimmercode (at least not in basic mode). but 3 should be on from the factory, shouldn't need to be coded.

Anyone else actually tried this successfully? Always hesitant about EXPERT coding and bricking a module...have bricked enough things in my past to make me nervous...

Thanks in adavance

I have watched some YouTube videos about coding by using the Bimmercode app.

I am wondering which features some of you have coded for your BMW X7?

Some thoughts:
-- Startup M Performance animation
-- Disable warning at startup
-- Brighter angel eyes (25% standard, raise to 100%)
-- Folding Mirrors when the vehicle is locked
-- One-touch turn signal 5 times
-- Display full-text messages
-- Close tailgate with long-press remote
-- Brakes flash 3x when applied (Is this legal in the U.S.?)

Some of these might not be available for the X7. I would imagine others might already be programmed? ie. Aren't the mirrors already programmed to fold in a $95,000 vehicle?

I realize that all vehicles will have different options that need coded. Some vehicles you can code the back hatch. Others you cannot. I haven't found a definitive video about coding options for the X7. Post if you know of one.

Any suggestions about what to code would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Have you tried coding anti-dazzle and VLD for your X7? I tried to figure it out using BimmerCode but was unsuccessful.

Can't do this in bimmercode. You will need E-Sys for that.

Yup, it sucks

Most users prefer bimmercode since it's so simple to use.

E-Sys has a much steeper learning curve, but you can do so much more with it. You can screw things up royally also
