KLASSE ROCKS
So I broke down and spent the cash to buy the Klasse. I thought about Zaino but it appeared too complicated for a simple Arkansan such as mysef.
Anyway, I washed the car today (place with high-pressure wand-washers), dried it (with a t-shirt that no longer fits), and then Klasse'd it. IT ROCKS. Check out the last 4 pictures in my garage. Best part, it was simple to do and there was little effort involved, as compared to carnauba wax. Did the whole thing in under 2 hours.

i bought the "concours kit" which has the all-in-one and the sealant glaze. i also bought a bottle of eagle one wet-n-wipe because the place where i bought it recommended using that instead of water to wet the applicators.
i think today i'm gonna apply another coat of sealant glaze just for fun.

I've been layering on some of the Sealant Glaze. It could be my imagination, but it seems a bit more shiny.

ksfrogman, i noticed that after i put on the klasse i could really see my paint "sparkle". did you notice the same on yours?
BTW your car is totally tricked out, options-wise. musta cost a pretty penny.

Well, my car was brand new and was already pretty immaculate. I masked off one half of the hood, and shined only one side, then removed the tape. Honestly, it was a little difficult to tell the difference from one side vs the other, but I was in my garage at night time.
Two all-in-one waxes and 3 sealant glazes later, I started getting comments about how shiny the front hood looked. It has a real smooth, shiny and wet look--a glaze! |

problem! i tried putting on a second coat of glaze on my hood, and now it looks as if there are swirl marks or something! i didn't do anything different and i made sure that there was no dust on it beforehand. it is a lot colder outside today than it was on thursday when i applied the AIO and the glaze the first time.
any suggestions on how to get those out? or am I F'd?

the kit i ordered came with two microfiber applicators and two microfiber buffing cloths. i used the same microfiber applicator i used on thursday for the glaze and the same buffing towel i used on thursday too.

I imagine the weather may have had something to do with your problem. If swirl marks are profound, you might try applying the All-In-One over that area then sealing again. Try this on a small area first. Remember, the All-In-One has a mild chemical polish.

i think i just didn't give it enough time to cure. unlike AIO (i discovered after reading the directions) SG needs to sit a little while. i waited about an hour and then rebuffed and we are good to go now.
Thanks for the help, though.

I'm thinking of trying Klasse AIO and the SG. Do you still need to use a wax or will the SG do the job?

Use a 100% carnauba wax with no cleaners. I use P21S on top of rightlook sealant and it is a killer combo. Last edited by diesel007; 02-05-2006 at 12:37 AM.. |

Bummer! So, I guess Klassé doesn't rock after all...... If you are still having problems, you can try washing the car with DAWN (to strip off the Klassé, and then re-apply the stuff. If the swirl marks are still there, you can wash with Dawn again and try Zaino Z-5, or even Z-PC.

no, klasse still rocks! i was just impatient and didn't give the SG enough time to cure. i gave it an additional hour and buffed it off and we are good to go again. still a klasse fan.

Klasse is the perfect system for those who want an amazing shine with as little work as possible.
Typically, you can apply either step and remove within a minute or so. But, as the temperature drops SG may take a little longer to "cure". The longest I have ever had to wait was maybe 30-45 min (though an hour probably wouldn't hurt either). I have never personally used the other systems, Zaino, P21S, etc, but I have seen other cars with these waxes and polishes. Each of these individuals spent 2-3 times longer waxing thier cars when you factor in the multiple coats, curing times, etc. I, on the other hand, spend about 90 minutes total (from wash to completion of wax) 2 time a year and I achieve at least 90% of the shine. Not only does it shine immediately after, but it will maintain this shine for at least 6 months. I just have it washed every 2 weeks or so.
