3D Kagu Fitment

Just bought the 3DMat Kagu for my 24 X7 (with 2nd row bench). The front row seems like a good fit but the second row is 'overlapping' onto the door sill. Is this how its supposed to fit? See the circled section! Heard good things about Kagu so went for it, now maybe thinking Tuxmat might be better? Not sure if it fits the same way as well!

I have Tuxmats for the seating areas and the 3D Kagu Maxspider for the trunk. I'm very happy with the Tuxmats; they look great and fit well (no weird overhangs). The photos on their site are accurate. The folding 3rd row works great with the 3D Maxspider in the trunk. I think the combo of the two is the best of both worlds.

Is it straightforward to install tuxmat? The 3d was a breeze as it has Velcro looking bottom that just holds it well! How’s Tuxmat?

Couldn’t tell you since I just installed Weather Tech floor mats for all rows. I picked up my 24’ X7 M60i on Tuesday (Halloween). I can say that Weather Tech mats fit perfectly. I can confirm that there is no over lapping on the door sill as in your post. Once I receive the car from my retailer I will post pics. I had to support Weather Tech since I am from Illinois and the are in my home state.

Okay thank you both for the info! Anything on Tuxmat install process? I’m considering returning the 3d mat and go with Tux but not sure yet!

The Tuxmat is fitted very closely to the lower floor and seat cutouts. It pretty much falls into place. It does come with some clips with Velcro to assist in some areas like the front footwells. This is because the coverage goes pretty high up and almost nothing is exposed.

Nothing special about installation, very easy and they feel/look better than the ones you have installed imo. You do need to use clips they provide as they make fitment even better, highly recommend them, have bought sets for my last 3 cars

That’s intentional. If you close the door you will see that it gives you max coverage and is seamless with the door panel. You will likely have water get on the carpet and under the door sill trim Without that ridge; especially if the passenger has snow melting from their boots.

I have captain's chairs in the second row of my 2021 X7 M50i. I also have the slight "overlap" you mentioned. It hasn't been a problem for me or my passengers. Here is a photo of mine for comparison.

I also have the Tuxmats and 3d Kagu Maxspider for the rear. Perfect setup.

I just took delivery on my x7 and installed the 3d Kagu Maxspider but having issues with the 3rd going up and down with it installed. Any one else having this issue? I really hope I can figure it out because I love the love of it. If not, going to order the canvasback. The Tuxmats look great!

What kind of issue? When I initially had the 3D, the third row seemed okay!

I hate those mats with a passion. Just my opinion. I hate how they look and how slippery they feel. Zero grip from your foot.

Did you put the loops over the head rests? I found the loops about a month after installing the mats. Before I found them, I wondered by it wasn’t working as intended. After I put the loops on the head rests, they worked pretty well.

Ok so after a few tries, it broke in and is working now. I had issues with both the 3row not going all the way down and the lower tailgate not closing, even with the headrest loops. I still wish they made a cover for the sides, including the third row arm rests. I almost ordered the canvasback but it just doesn't look as luxurious as the kagu maxspider.

i have the kagu and after some minor marks on the leather arm rests, i got just the canvasback sides with the armrest covers.

overhang seems excessive there. I just put in 3W mats and they fit perfectly, no overhang. maxspider on order for the cargo liner though.
