I found her! Big thank you to all on this forum!

Picking up Friday in Bend Oregon - was hard to find but found one
that finally checked all the boxes (hard to find one with the spare and hitch!)... besides a test drive what do I need to look into before handing over the cash? I have the dealer inspection report with tires at 8/32 front 6/32 rear and brakes at 8mm all around. Anything else to check?

Negotiated $5K off sticker for $55K. How'd I do?

Looks like a good deal. One thing to be aware of- the car fax shows no service history. Not sure if this a mistake but would be good to pull service records. You don’t want this car if the previous owner never serviced his leased car since he bought!

So it has been serviced! Did the dealer install new tires? 8/32 is basically new.

think so - they are winter tires - Vredestein Wintrac Pro

its from Bend so makes sense in Feb / Mar but I am down in Cali so will likely be swapping these out for some all seasons.

Congrats! You certainly got a low mileage '22 for what seems like a more than fair price.

I can't say I've seen a Msport with blacked out window trim but the chrome grill.
I definitely like the grey poplar wood with the black leather- it's a nice blend.

Good luck with the rest of the purchase and keep us posted!

Am I looking at the right Carfax? Purchased in 2020 and it’s a 2021 X7 40i with black SensaTec Upholstery? Can’t tell if the dealers listing of specs are accurate or not.

What’s wrong with that? Purchased December 2020 and the model year is 2021.

Dealer listing shows SensaTec Upholstery under “Vehicle Details”. 2021 is a Covid build vehicle when a lot of unusual omissions in the builds. Look it over real close and assume nothing.

It looks like the Original MSRP for the vehicle was $87,845.00.

I can't tell difference btw Sensafin and leather from the video but will check on Friday

Thanks - you were especially helpful with the pointers on the spare and wheel size for occasional snow driving.

Good point - anything else to look for

Dealer just confirmed in person that it is the 'Vernasca Leather' and the build sheet is indeed accurate.

That’s good. Dealership probably did a copy/paste on the “vehicle detail” list. Look at the condition of the floor carpets under the mats for water stains.
Look at the very top of the dash around the HUD for sun damage or pulling away. Check to see if it has the original battery. These are very DC power hungry vehicles and suffer from battery drain if they sit without driving if they are not on a battery maintainer. Take a powerful flash light and look around in the engine bay for any leaks, stains or signs of rodent poop/homes. Open sunroof and look at the seals and for any debris. Make sure the back hatch powers closed with even gaps on both sides. You can tell by the rear lights. Look at the front headlights for any fogging or water staining. Check under the front lower lip for any signs of damage from contact /scraping over curbs when parking. While you are up there look at all the sensors for any cracking or uneven mounting in the bumper. See if the trailer hitch has ever been used with any scraping inside the square receiver. Look for any micro scratches, big pits, or cracks on the windshield. There are lots of other items like panel gaps, etc… Carfax won’t show items the previous owner might have fixed on the side.

I use to live in Bend, Oregon.

Here is the issue with cars that reside there (if this is a local car)...

ODOT uses crushed lava rock in the winter all over town to aid traction for motorists. The down side is most vehicles get hammered in the front & sides from these rocks. If the vehicle was used to go up to Mt. Bachelor for skiing, I can guarantee you it has some rock damage in the front. Central Oregon is hard on cars do to it being high desert terrain and lots of weather changes.

Ask for some close up pics of the front end, headlights, lower rockers, etc... I noticed they kinda skirted past the front of the car in the video.

Good luck & let me know if you want some hotel, food, travel, etc. help :-)

Good points… expecting some cosmetic issues being a used car so not too worried but thanks for heads up. Didn’t seem like anything major but will check it out closer.

Have stayed at Mcmenamins in the past and ate at the Wild Rose, got a beer at Deschutes… anywhere else you reccomended visiting while I am in town.

Wall Street Suites is nice. A refurbished motel with really cute cabin like rooms (also dog friendly). You can park right in front of your room for free. Much quieter than Mcmenamins. Located at North end of the main drag and easy walk downtown. Pine Tavern is cute and right on Deschutes River.... kinda fun to eat there considering pine trees are growing out of the middle of the dinning room. Victorian Cafe on the westside is great for breakfast, but go early if you don't want to wait. Super cute old building with lots of character. They have something there called the "Manmossa" and its exactly what you think, I good commitment!
