Thanks for the input though. I guess the list is now- M4, C63, Z06, GT-R. Tests drives will be coming in a few months. I'm looking at year end for this.

GTS will be a track-ready rat with a roll cage, not suitable for driving without a helmet. Will not be available as a convertible. Would not be a DD candidate. Quote:

ummm... yah I thought the M4 was not a big difference from my E92 M3 because the stupid Salesguy didn't know jack about driving with the M4 Engine cold! But once the M4 warms up with full settings, it is a MONSTER in every aspect. You should test drive the M4 with someone that knows it first before you decide anything else.

I doubt you'll like the GTS as a DD. The E92 GTS had a roll bar so no back seats, fixed back front seats and a race type coilover suspension. Not exactly "luxurious".

Ok. Skip the GTS. What about the M4. What upgrades power wise are available? Any common problems people are having?

Yeah sounds like you'll be perfectly fine with a JB4 and the stock M4, there are plenty of youtube videos showing pulls and a few dynos floating around. Nick Murray recently posted a video comparison of a E85 tuned JB4 M4 with his stock M4 |

Late to the game. I guaranty you all the GTS are spoken for.
Go for a modded M4. Good luck!

And lets face it, a good bit of the blowhards around here will get alligator arms when the time comes to order the car and pay for it. We all know you're not in that camp but this is a fickle bunch around here who like to lease their cars and get amazing deals that don't add up. So there will be plenty of backouts.

All I'm saying I've known about this for at least a few weeks and I was deep in the list when I found out. It's very special I hope to get one.

To me, it's a no-brainer. M4.
The Nissan is crazy fast, but offers little else, in my opinion. The CTS-V is fast, but does not age well. Depending on what year (are the new ones out yet?), they are old technology. The M4. Luxury, performance, technology. |

In my opinion the GTS also looks horrible. Obnoxious front splitter and a fixed wing on the boot that's practically laughable. Yeah it's got 68bhp more but... a standard M4 and a JB4 and you're already past that. Add in the gross orange rims and the ridiculous price... it's a no from me. These are my personal opinions of course.

My guess is the car will have a 50k mark up on it, and if you're not using it for the tack full time my opinion it's not a looker at all for the street. Would not drive a car on the street with a roll bar personally unless I was 19 again(:
Also for that price point close to 200k I would not buy because of all the other choices out there. Mclaren, GT3 ( I'm biased), used 458, Mercedes GTS ( new by the way). Just my two cents. |

Greg, for you the C63S would be the best bet. Tons of power, comfortable to drive and tons of options (air cooled seats are my favorite).
