Help evaluate this 2025 X7 xDrive40i packages, options (replace loaded 2019 X3 M40i)

Thinking (very hard) to replace 2019 X3 M40i B58 with X7 with B58 (instead of V8 N63).

I've "left out" these packages from my build,

Executive (instead Premium package added, HK, soft close, electric rear shade, and heads up display are what i'm really after)

Dynamic Handling Package

To those that have gone through similar tradeoffs, if you were to do the packages and options again, would you go for the Executive over the Premium, for these added features?

Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof
Heated and Cooled Cupholders
Glass Controls
Front massaging seats

How about the Dynamic Handling Package, get it?

Crystal Headlights ???

Glass Controls ???

Family said no to the second-row captain's chairs...

If anything, the B&W maybe the one to really consider (hard) to go get?

Here's second iteration. This time, remove all trace of M'ness. This is not a M car. Go for the luxury style, themed features (granted less sportier look/styling).

Have always owned shadow line for styling, so may take getting some used to.

Put the Executive. Massaging. ok.

Get the damn B&W sound system. Review puts this system at S (superior) tier.

Need to investigate more about this Road Preview, if this is a gimmicky feature or worth it.

DHP is really nice to have and makes the car feel smaller. I would pick it over the Executive Package if I had to. B&W is also very good if you're into audio and listen to a lot of music in the car.

If you think you might want the tow hitch or spare tire, I would also highly recommend those since retrofitting is very expensive. Also, I would recommend skipping the crystal headlights as there have been reports of condensation issues and are insanely expensive to replace.

Ok.

Just read through few old posts. And DHP seem worthwhile. So added.

And yes, i'm an audiophile junkie, so B&W seem descent investment.

And Executive, for the boss (wife) massaging. Will score some points with that option.

(mostly) final version:

Those screenshots are unreadable, at least on the mobile forum app.

What is the exterior color? Really makes a huge difference on whether the Shadowline trim is a must. The M packages are less about sportiness and more about the looks anyway.

Keep in mind that adding the tow hitch removes the “foot-kick” tailgate open feature.

Okay, on that lose of hands free for tailgate open. We have hands free on X3, rarely use it, thus far. The hitch seem like a practical thing on car of this size, but then again, family rarely tows stuffs as well.

Definitely not.

Some people said that the shifter looks cheap without the Glass Controls option, so make sure you like what you see. I would personally get the Executive package for the soft close doors, massaging seats, and sunshades. Plus it makes the B&W option $800 cheaper.

Surprised that the wife didn’t push you on the crystal headlights; condensation or not, they look money.

Even without frequent towing, I found the hitch to be useful to assist with the shortage of cargo space with all the seats up. With it you have options for bike racks, cargo carriers etc.
As for the shadowline trim, I opted to put that money into other options as it’s is fairly easy and inexpensive to have a “chrome delete” done with gloss black vinyl wrap. Just my 2 cents.

This is it, no more change, please!

Damn you ///M !!!

And the captain chairs (yes, i know all the pros and cons of it)

Family is spoiled with mom's Odyssey second row arrangement (granted it does fold flat). And we did fold flat few times, so yeah, not being able to fold flat will come and hunt us later on.

be aware the space between the captains chairs in the X7 is MUCH MUCH smaller than what you are showing in the odyssey.

It would be a hard no on the captain’s chairs for me. Drop the middle armrest with the bench, and you get the same effect with way more legroom.
