Oil on front left lower control arm / joint what's the source?

Spotted oil deposit on ground after coming back from work. Took the panel off under the front left corner of the car and this is what I see.

No oil from up top that I can see.

Oil level test is all clear.

Can't figure out where it's coming from.

Any ideas?

Also - I need this car for work tomorrow morning so any thoughts on how terminal this could be / safe to drive one more day?

After a bit of sleuthing it seems these joints are oil filled. Always thought they were just a solid rubber joint.

Learn something new every day.

What’s your car mileage?

It’s well know that the thrust arm and lower arm bushings are oil filled bushing so since it’s already leaking, time to change to a new one.

Don’t get the new oem again. Get either vac monoballs, turner, or millway monoball.

43k miles on the nose. I didn't realize they were oil filled so learned something that day.

Yes I'm looking into a complete overhaul but can't seem to get uppers of the VAC. I didn't know about millway and forgot about Turner so will check them out this weekend and buy what I need.

Any other suggestions whilst the uppers and lowers are going to be replaced??

Meyle HD is also an option, it's fully rubber rather than fluid filled, but not quite as connected as the monoball options. I opted for them for comfort, but it's still a big improvement over stock. FCP euro sells them now.

The rear trailing arm? I swapped my bushings for superpro and regret it for daily driving. Stick with stock in the rear.

The biggest upgrade I got for the rear end was the solid subframe bushings. It's expensive to get installed, but really improves the rear.
