Wow man, these are just unreal. I've been using cad for about 6 years off an on, everything from Auto CAD to Inventor, Catia, Pro E and now learning Unigraphics NX 3.0. CAD isnt a difficult thing to be able to do, but only in general prismatic shapes. When you get into curves is when shit hits the fan. This looks very realistic: Keep up the great work! :rocks: PS - If I find a copy of 3DSMax to install, I'd like to get your file(s) from you and just seen how you created this thing....

This is crazy! I've tried to use many different 3d rendering programs and I can't even figure out how to use them, let alone create something with them! Truly amazing! You've got some serious potential. Keep up the awesome work!

I havent been online here for a while, and really surprised to see the good comments Thanks!!
@ LEDZEP; Thanks, yes i also need to redo the fog light its not so good. I'll take care about that too..Is this picture real? seems 3d but looks real @ poldim; I guess Catia is the most great program for such thing, as far as i see the results of it.. It's just too proffesional and seems very hard, but didnt know about the curves. As i said its very professional so you should make it calculate the curves 'i think'. but in max its upto you i simply adjust the vertices and thats all.. Before seeing my work i need to redo some places of the car that i had left some parts unseen bad. Nowadays im busy with them.. @mikenuts; Thanks.. I'd like your dad teach me something : @KL2DC; I must really improve myself for BMW AG and also they must tutor me, im not so good to work for bmw Renderings isnt good i think its very default of max.. no light, shadow or etc. Hope i'll learn about them and apply to my car.. Ah, By the wayy, It was her(his or its) BIRTHDAY on 25th February When the E90 released? January 05? or before? Anyway i made it too long, sorry.. Here's the new renders, i readjusted the vertices on the door to give the 'shape'. Also redo the handle, with Comfort Access yes i know i didnt do the lines on it, maybe i'll do them later.. Also did the lights for the back 'luggage door'(?what you call that) I know that the last, back view render is really bad the lines arent in shape.. but ignore them I'll care about them later..Thanks! |

The last two look like you took pictures of the car and then grayscaled it!
Keep up the amazing work....

Why aren't we thinking about somehow hacking this model into a game like Need For Speed so we can play as the E90????
Nice job Pinzi.

Hey, Nice model.
I wonder if I can get it into Lightwave? I've been doing 3d animation/modeling/renders for about 11 years now. I work at a company called Eden FX. WWW.EDENFX.COM We have made a few car models but not a BMW e90.. Really nice model you have there I modeled and rendered this bird skull in Lightwave two weeks ago for a quick illustration project. |

wow, those are really good. I mean really good. I've used SolidWorks before and I don't think I've ever designed anything that intricate. How do you put it into the program? Do you scan the blueprints in?

Thanks!
@Intuition; I dont know if its possible to convert max files to ones that lightwave can open.. Cant lw open .3ds files, right? By the way that skull is really great! Looks realistic and complex to model @BMW0; No, im not a member of that site, you might saw my renders in nother forums @BMW786; Thanks, no, i dont scan blueprints.. There are loads of blueprints on the internet. I just cut them into 4 sides and apply them as map to planes and put into scene.. Then start modeling.. |
