My MY2019 July built came with the space saver tire even though I didn't order it. I was looking for the under floor storage but found a tire instead.

Thanks, that helps a lot. Do you have idea if the M50 could have the same spare? Just curious if that can replace the 22 wheel and fit the brake in.

What I was surprised about there is second trunk roulette, if you fold third row you can exchange the roulette and put one that has range to cover all, nicely done BMW Now here is another question I also found special net tat you hang in the trunk the problem is there is nothing to hang this bet to? It feels like this should be in Sedan? |

Do you also have the rolling cover for the trunk? Or once you have spare then the rolling cover is gone? |

So you give up storage space by having a spare tire or that space wouldn't be available for storage anyway without a spare tire?

You'd get storage space if you didn't order emergency spare. The demo I drove had the under floor storage. They probably changed all Australian spec X7 to include the spare and that's the reason I got one. |

I can not for the life of me get both to stay stowed at same time. Not a problem for me, though, as I keep both out to ease access to tire and the little cargo area left over that I use for misc stuff.

I'm going to be driving with 3rd row down most of the time, so I think I'll keep the roller cover installed behind the 2nd row, and just stow the small cover underfloor. (assuming it can be stowed there with the spare tire)
side note: I've found that small cover to be made from different materials, in different X7's. I think if you have one of the higher quality interiors, (full Merino?) you get the nice soft velour material for this cover. Otherwise you get a simple canvas-like material. Though the tires are run flats, I would always prefer having a spare in emergency and $150 is a very good price from factory. |
