Just Complaining
Just venting, IT IS SUPER ANNOYING when I have passengers in my car and they DO NOT understand the concept of pull once to unlock and pull again to open. Rather they pull once and yank on the handle and try to bust the door open meanwhile I'm worried about my door handles :\ . Then to top it off they pull the little unlock tab up!!!

I simply press the console button to unlock the doors when I have passengers. That way, all they have to do is pull once to open their doors. Simpler than having to explain the 2-pull procedure. I know, it's a perculiar BMW thing, but I'm so used to doing the 2-pull, I don't give it a second thought.

Hilarious to see others say this. I almost had my rear handle pulled off when my senile and partially def grandma-in-law was trying to open the door one day. As she reeled on it and seeing the handle flex back, I thought it was a goner. No amount of yelling or reasoning was going to have her pull twice. She wanted out as we arrived at her favourite rib joint and nothing was going to get in the way of that. Ladies a solid 200 lbs and would give most on this forum a run for their money in an arm wrestle. Thankfully the handles seem to be designed well and can handle some abuse.
I've just gotten into the habit of preemptively pressing the door open button while rolling to a stop when certain people are in the car ?? |

I don't really worry about people trying to open my car doors as I'm driving, no.

I don't find locked doors annoying when driving, as I have no desire to open the door when the car is moving, and neither do my passengers. I do find it annoying to have to unlock the doors after I've parked, by whatever means, so I don't have them lock in the first place.
