Snap in adaptor for Blackberry Bold
Dealer told me today that they are not available yet.
Can I rely on this dealer information?

Still waiting for a media snap-in adaptor for an iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 was released just under a year ago. If it's a relatively new model expect to wait at least a year for BMW to produce an adaptor

I have blackberry bold and guess what????
I also have the snap in adapter Remember you dealer is too lazy to find the answer to your question so they lie! I will try and dig out the part number from the invoice Be aware that the 9700 bold is not compatible with office in the car but the 9780 bold should work fine

Is it safe to assume then that the BB Bold 9000 will work with the same adaptor as the 9700. I've also assumed that the Business Nav won't support media therefore I'm just looking for a convenient cradle to charge the phone without cables.

Bought the basic snap in adaptor for the BB Bold 9000 today despite the dealer saying that there wasn't one available. Guess what ... it works fine.

Charges and boosts phone's signal through car's aerial. Also frees up the USB in the armrest and means you don't snap the cable in the armrest accidentally

Need to resurrect this thread to see what progress people have made.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 and I was hoping that the "high" Bluetooth prep (the once with voice control) would give me access to calendar, email etc in BMW Office. I don't have ANY version of nav in the car. I do get the Office option in the iDrive menu but it only displays contacts - no other options. The info in the manual and on www.bmw.com/bluetooth is useless in helping me determine what I should be able to see. Does anyone know: - whether I should be able use Blackberry functions in Office without nav? - what I need to do to enable this? Do I have to have ConnectedDrive etc? - are there any device specific settings I need to consider on the Bold 9700? The Bold pairs just fine with the car over Bluetooth and I've checked that data access is enabled etc. The BB is serviced via BES and I'm wondering if there's a policy on the device that's stopping access to the functions I'm wanting to use. I use an iPhone4 for voice calls etc but I've taken this out of the equation for now to simplify my trouble shooting. I suspect that hoping to get voice on the iPhone and calendar etc from the Blackberry is going to be a little ambitious. Can anyone offer any advice? I'll try to dig out the software versions on both the X3 (although it's brand new) and the Bold 9700.

I am the same 'status' with Bold 9700 functionality at the mo. However, I do have nav pro and connect drive but like you - just the phone book functionality. I also plan to try and solve at some point. |

I updated my Bold 9700 software to version 6 but I don't use BES. I have pro nav and can get contacts, emails & text to show via bluetooth only (USB cable wont work with office for me) and I dont have a snap in adaptor.
I have been searching to find a definitive answer for access to calendar and notes functions but cannot find details. |

Not exactly the same situation as you, but I figured I'd add my blackberry/office experience to the mix. I don't have nav but did add the advanced bluetooth. My bold 9930 (OS7) pairs flawlessly over bluetooth and displays all text messages and emails. It will also read them aloud to me if I hit the play button in the messages screen. It has also transferred my contact pictures so when someone calls their picture is displayed. However, I do not have any access to the calendar or notes function. Luckily I don't have much use for these functions while driving anyway!
