What would you do?

Had my steering column replaced for the 2nd time, both times I received the vehicle back with a slanted steering wheel. However this time, they are telling me it's an alignment and wanted me to pay out of pocket, I was furious since I dropped the car off with a straight steering wheel but I approved it anyway. Got a call today saying the toe is way off and can't be fixed and they suspect that I bent something.

Argued with the SA over this and he dares to tell me to file a claim with my insurance since it is probably an accident. I'm like hell the f no. You are telling me to say that I wrecked the vehicle when I didn't?

Side note: I'm in the middle of an arbitration with BMW for 24 months over steering issues.

Same f'en dealer that left an oil stain on my dash and told me to eat it.

When this is all over, bye bye BMW I'm done with BMW NA as well as the local dealers

Yet....you won't name the dealer.

Stevens Creek is known to be horrible (both sales and service).

They gave me a bigger discount than my local dealer but we still decided not to purchase from them.

I know several folks that have bought from them (not just BMW) or gotten their cars serviced at one of their dealers and they all had horrible experiences.

I have until today to decide to pay up or pick up the car and live with the F up steering wheel.

Since I'm in litigation with BMW over this car, I don't even know if calling BMW NA and bitch about it would make a difference.

what is is really F up is that BMW flagged my vin preventing any kind of service on it until it is approved by them. I was denied service by BMW Fremont because of this that's why I'm forced to bring it to Steven's Creek.

Take it to someone who actually knows how to diagnose problems instead of remove and replace and hope for the best. You have an absolute institution of BMW knowledge 2 mi from your dealer. Go there and find out for sure what is going on. You will have to pay out of pocket but at least you will get some answers which will allow you to interact with BMW NA from an informed position.

Thanks, I'll give them a call, perhaps just bring it in for diagnostic
You'd imagine I'd have damage rims before the suspension get jacked up.

You will know what is a horrible experience when you go to Mountain View BMW, that is 10x worse.

Who is the SA? I can avoid this person later. I had the steering column replaced as well when I simply asked for a software update a few months ago because some problem with the Auto-driving functions. They claimed the steering column is faulty so had to take it out. Not sure what is the issue, the software or the hardware! All based on what SA told you!

Did you at least get a x7 as loaner vehicle while they worked on it?

Tamir is my last rep. I don't know if it's the sa or their technician that are clueless but perhaps both.

What they basically wrote down was that my adjustment is maxed out and that they couldn't bring it to spec. What got me going was that the sa even dared to recommend me filing a claim on my insurance.

Drove the EQS yesterday and wife likes it alot, the EQS SUV is looking like a good replacement for the X7 when it comes out next year.

BMW service doesn't even come close to Mercedes at least from my experience.

Of course, the only way I'd leave my car there.

Ended up paying for an alignment that left the car unaligned

Yup, that's why I stay away from those big dealers. They are awful.

Take your car to Custom Alignment in Mountain View.
Your steering wheel will be straight.

I think I'm done fixing this vehicle for now. I'm just going to drive it as it unless it is a safety concern.
