Bimmercode - What have you coded for your BMW X7?

bimmercode only toggles a limited selection of predefined functions, and I don't believe there's any existing code in the vehicle for a parking-triggered venting of the air suspension

I am wondering which features some of you have coded for your BMW X7?

Some thoughts:
-- Startup M Performance animation
-- Disable warning at startup
-- Brighter angel eyes (25% standard, raise to 100%)
-- Folding Mirrors when the vehicle is locked
-- One-touch turn signal 5 times
-- Display full-text messages
-- Close tailgate with long-press remote
-- Brakes flash 3x when applied (Is this legal in the U.S.?)

Some of these might not be available for the X7. I would imagine others might already be programmed? ie. Aren't the mirrors already programmed to fold in a $95,000 vehicle?

I realize that all vehicles will have different options that need coded. Some vehicles you can code the back hatch. Others you cannot. I haven't found a definitive video about coding options for the X7. Post if you know of one.

Any suggestions about what to code would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can download the BimmerCode app and select your vehicle it will tell you what options you will get for x7. It have alls what you ask plus more. (Video in motion...) I just coded mine last week. Next option they will release soon is change and add more colors of ambience light

What adapters are you guys using? I have a VLink that worked well on my M3 but I couldn't access Body Domain Controlled for sport+ activation because my adapter does not support it. Debating whether it's worth getting another one.

I highly recommend a cabled adapter vs wireless. It will make things work much smoother and significantly faster.

I have an Esys cable with adapter to iPhone for BM3 on my other car, didn't think to use it for BimmerCode. Worked like a charm, and so much faster! Thank you!

Hey guys I just got the notification to test the ambient lighting feature for G05 and G07 on Bimmercode but I can’t find it anywhere in the BDC....any suggestions?

Should be in the BDC at the top of the BDC page. I actually coded ambient lighting in my X7 several beta's ago, before he officially put out the beta for the X7 (and X5 and X6) to test. I have not tried this latest beta though..

Hello. Does anyone know how to turn off the sailing mild hybrid? I found in the hu mgm unit the option to turn off sailing in the idrive menu. However, it is not functional and the car is still sailing in comfort mode. Apparently I need to change something in the bdc, but I can't find what. Does anyone know?

Has anyone found a way to open the exhaust flap? Apparently it's not an easy task manually with these.

Also, ours (2021) doesn't have the auto/off button. :\

bimmerlink for flapping

I tried the ambient light coding beta in bimmercode and it turned off my upper ambient lighting, leaving the rest alone haha

edit: and by "ours" I imagine you mean the 6cyl. The v8 didn't get it, but the 6cyl got the 48v mild hybrid pancake so they took out the auto-stop-start button since the pancake picks up the duty a bit

Don't think that's available. Only the iDrive option to automatically fold in when car locked

The answer is actually YES--I had it done, and it's just a little bit stronger in airflow. I believe it's noticeable, but only because I knew it was done. r33_RGSport warned me it'd also be a little more noisy. I don't notice that part.

I do remind everyone that seat ventilation is just that--ventilating ambient air through the seats. It's not seat air conditioning.

Will need to go on the web/browser based app. The phone app (at least iOS) does not show PDF attachments in posts for some reason.

Yeah OP mentioned brighter angel eyes. I was able to do this with my F15 X5, just wondering if this can be adjusted for the X7.

It does appear to be on in the rear all the time as default.
