PPK flash with Remus Exhaust
**VIDEOS POSTED**
Greetings, Getting the ppk flash tonight but am starting to worry I am not going to get the added exhaust burble provided I no longer have the stock exhaust with the flap. I have a Remus Race. I am unsure how the PPK creates the added sound without just recalibrating the flap, which has in turn made me question whether or not I will notice any difference. Any insight out there?? Someone have the flash with an aftermarket exhaust??

It's all software, it increases fuel overrun or something. I have an aftermarket exhaust and it sounds insane with the PPK.

^ That is exactly what i want to see lol !!
I had the bmw PE and it sounded fantastic (with resonator removed). I just got the remus axle back (also with resonator removed) and it is alot queiter. So i was thinking of going catless to get the sound back. reason i went with remus is quad tip vs the one side twin tip. |

I'm kind of offended . I have videos on forums. With just DP, DP + Remus, DP + Remus + ppk, and I've been lazy but I have one with DP + Remus + ppk + secondary delete.

But I think its also nice to be able to get a few recordings of sounds, especially something people are so picky about, while being very hard to capture its true tone. I tred to make a in vehicle sound clip of just Remus and it was almost not audible at all over wind noise etc. and I didn't even post it for that reason.

Sound clip coming soon! Once again in love with the car and feel like a moron for not doing this sooner provided how easy and cheap it was (thank you joe@topgear solutions). Could not be more pleased. Remus + PPK + Alpina flash rev matching = Sex, to put simply.

I'm just playing. It will sound slightly different on every car. I have a catted dp but I can't complain, no codes, love sound and getting better numbers than people with catless. Honestly I love my cold start with the remus. It isnt rediculously loud but the frequency Is just right that it vibrates all the windows. Last edited by hz_diesel; 03-11-2016 at 06:41 AM.. |

Bro from what I've read, the PPK flash is basically a pop and gurgle tune, you will have it with an aftermarket muffler no worries.

Wont have time this weekend to install my DP, Hopefully I'll be able to get it done next Saturday with some shop time at work and I'll post before and after vids. I live in a quiet neighbor hood, bunch of kids down the street. Hope they don't show up to my house with pitch forks...

Attached are finally a few sound cops of the Remus Race with the PPK flash. Videos do not do it justice (shot with just an iPhone). Also, it was hard to find a quiet street in Chicago to do this. Will post some better videos later on. Second video - its hard to hear, I did not time it well but just before the drive by you can hear all the pops of the PPK when coasting and letting the revs reduce. Super loud, almost worried obnoxiously loud amount of pops.

You should have downshifted for the drive by. The pops are so much louder and aggressive downshifting. |
