Yes I read through all of them thanks. I am unable to troubleshoot many of those myself but will reference it at the dealer. I will say that same trim piece referenced on the A pillar is very loose and you can lift it right up on both sides especially lower down. I thought this was for sure the issue but after taping it the wind noise was still present.

Wow I am impressed by this complete and comprehensive sum up of solutions. It will be handy for many of us should we encounter similar problems. Hats off to mitch57!

Any luck with your dealer yet? On my 23 M60i I noticed the sunroof rubber trim is def short on both sides between the moving panel and the fixed panel. No idea if that’s normal, but there is a big gap but I’m not convinced that’s where the noise is coming from. On the highway I hear decent wind noise from around the mirrors but also lots of car noise as you pass by someone on the freeway from around the front of the dash / a pillar. My 22 M50i did not sound like this that I remember.

Did you try putting some duct tape or 3M tape over the gaps on the sun roof as a test to see if the wind noise goes away? That's a very simple test you can try to see if that's where it's coming from.

Your experience mimics mine. I have road trip next week so can’t get to the dealer until second week on Nov. I also have a gap where you are describing on sunroof. I taped that as well as most of the mirrors and trim and didn’t notice a difference. It is much louder than pre LCI model and not sure why. Hopefully dealer will find something.

My 40i with 22” M tire is very quiet in slow speed but had significant road noise in highways. I was expecting it to be way quieter.

Sounds good - I'm also booking appointment as well and will post updates. My other observation is that maybe the dual pane glass is slighter thinner or seems different than pre LCI. I'll take some pictures this weekend.

I tried this morning on the way to work - didn't seem to make a different. Thanks for those earlier posts though - I'll update once dealer takes a look.

I do love the X7 overall but I am annoyed that it seems louder than my previous 2022 M50i.

I believe the 23 to be noisier than my 2017 Escalade. Never drove a pre lci.

Have any luck with dealer yet? Mine is going in next week. My other observation, which I feel like is very different from my 2022 M50i is that if I'm sitting at a stoplight I hear distinct noise from cars as they pass by through an intersection etc. This seems to come through the front windshield and both front side windows, which makes me wonder if they missed or changed some insulation/seal pieces or maybe the glass overall is different in the LCI? It's definitely acoustic glass, but maybe thinner? Not sure but it's been annoying me when I felt like my 2022 was much quieter overall.

This is becoming a very common complaint by several 23 X7 buyers, and not only for the X7, but many other 2022-2023 X-trim vehicles.... Some are not that sensitive and may not notice it (and some are lucky to not have any issues) but there seem to be a lot of complaints about this issue.

I myself have tested many 2022 vehicles, and drove a few loaners, and noticed a lot of wind noise that does not match the quality if BMW vehicles in previous users and pre-COVID. Something is going on with BMW build quality recently and it is very noticeable (the same is true for interior squeaks)..... You will mostly notice all if this if you were a former BMW owner coming from a 2019-2020 or early 2021 vehicle... Huge difference in build quality..

I just posted another thread with relevant info (link below). I also think that it is not only related to the X7 LCI, but rather for many 2022-2023 BMW vehicles. Something has changed, quality is become poor especially on the noise and insulation side (they must have changed parts or that their build quality is become poor).

This is correct in my experience as well, for whatever it is worth. I have a 2020 X7 (December '19 build date), a 2020 X3MC (September '19 build date) and a 2022 M4. The M4 definitely has a lot more build quality type issues.

Couldn’t get a loaner until December so having to wait. Agree about cars passing both at stop lights and on highway. It seems like the windshield or mirror isn’t sealed all the way or very thin. Something is up and unfortunately I think it might just be some new poor build quality.

I have recently bought a CPO X7 40i.
There is so much road and wind noise inside. Its like MM60i is saying as if the door or window is not fully closed.
I am taking it to dealership on Thursday.
Please update here regarding your experiences and solutions.

I've had the same exact issue on my 2022 X7. Brought it to the dealer several times, and each time nothing happens regardless of anything they try (weather-stripping replaced, door/window adjustment, etc).

I am almost certain is it is more of a vehicle frame-tolerance issue (aka build quality). I am looking to trade it soon for a 7-series or something else once I see a good pre-owned option around.

Also, every single loaner they gave me had the same exact issue. 2023 X6, 2022 4-series and 2022 X3. My ears are super sensitive to any noise but I am not that crazy. My baseline is my 2019 X7 and my BMW 530e, both of which are dead silent, so I know how it feels when things are built the right way.

I am never ever buying any post-covid BMW again until I have the confidence that all these quality related issues have been fixed.

Just drop mine off at the dealership. Stay tuned. I also have a whistling noise now that starts around 30 mph. It started about two weeks ago…

For what its worth I had a họ day Odyssey that for some reason whistled after a windshield replacement.

The glass guy and I finally solved it and it was the windshield cowlings

For a new vehicle?? Honda was 6 yrs old

The dealer called today. They told me the wind noise is because of two trim pieces on the sides of the windshield. They ordered parts, lets see if that solves it.

Will keep you posted.
