to cnt,

Do you suggest me to get the sport suspension or stick with the orginial non-sport? I think I will change to 18" and that's all. No more money to spend.
Ken
Ken,

Maybe you can try calling your sales and see if he can arrange a E90 w/ sport suspension for you to see and compare the ride height....

For the sport suspension vs. normal suspension, I heard from the other forum that it also has different shocks and anti-roll bars too...

Pls correct me if I am wrong.

P,
Once more confirmation, if I change my tires to 225/255 instead of current 235/265, will it affect the look of the drop too much. I think there is a good reason to reduce the tires width as the mpg of the 330i now is $2 per km which is same as my C55

Yes, I know the sport suspension kit contains different Coilovers, Shock Absorbers, Anti-roll bars (front & back).

Ken, your sport suspension kit should fit any 6 cyclinders E90, but I need to check if it can fit mine as my 4 cycliner is lighter in the front compared to your 323i. The coilovers might be different.......I will check again if you finally don't like your sport suspension.....

Oh guys, it is my pleasure to take the photos. Hope you can all enjoy the memory......Without the team's contribution of your time and your E90, we cannot have all the nice photos

BTW, I need to learn more from t..... for some new ideas next time.

t, I only got 18mm as the widest lens.....Do you have the 12-24 from Nikon for photo taking with IFC background?

My 320i is now running @1.5/km (you know the price of gas is $14/L now!!! )
Actually, my mgg is 11L/100km

Yours $2/km ==> 14.2L/100km ==> Not too bad la as you have 2 more cycliners and 1000 more cc!!

Can't beleive your C55 consumes only $2/km.....it is a 5,000 V8 engine

then my 325i is more "big eat" than a 330i.....I remember for my first tank of gas....I only get 400km for a $850 fill up.....strange.

....and I thought it is already doing better than my old car....almost $3.0/km with A/C on in the summer.

Hi Woo,

As I mentioned , if you can not be sure about what shocks and springs that will suit your need at this point of time, take the stock suspension is 'safe' because you can 'buy time'. I have seen next door E90 with sports suspension which look great even with 19" Hartge rims.

18" is a wise choice , even I am on 19" , I will consider to move back to 18" in future as the fuel cost has increased 10% on 19" and the car is no faster.

As I said, unless you are already very keen on some specific shocks and springs and know exactly what they are behaving on your car, otherwise, live with the stock sports one for a while , relax and enjoy your new car, and then you can decide to change 6 mths later.

(RD, Woo) The SACHTS for E90 is not yet in the market, right? These are something you can consider in future if we can see good reports of them on E90.

Rule No.,1 no one here I have heard, are having regrets to choose an extra option. I only heard those who did not. Especially in HK, the bloody car options tax rules is so sht man.

And, based on my feeling, you will spend a lot aftermarkets.

t

ps. RD, my new toys arrived:

Yes, I checked it already, stock sport suspension have diff shock (front and rear) and anti-roll bar (front only) The M sprot and stock sport also difference. Surprisingly, the price of the sport shock is lower than the stock shock!

Actually, all L6 has the same sport suspension kit included 323, 325,330. Since 330 is heavy than 323i, so the drop might be diff. (more drop in 330).
I am not sure whether 4 cycliner has the same setting or not Check it first!

The fuel meter on my Benz showing the ave. fuel consumption over 28000km being 15.2Litre/100km. So, that used to be $2 per km. Due to the fuel price gone up , I think the C55 is now standing at ~ $2.2 per km.
The beauty of V8 is its lowend torque (52kg/m). One big foot on the pedal will take you a long way on fifth gear.

My ex-Z3 2.2 stood at $1.6 per km. Believe me, BMW makes performance engine with small displacement , so fuel economy is not on their agenda though they claim they are.

I also believe the 335i turbo will be $2.5 per km.

That's a quick decision. Congrats.
I am sure you will love the very firm ride of the sports.
Yes, the anti roll bars are thicker for the sports.
My last inquiry to do the sport aftermarket by BMW will be $22000+tax+$6000labour.

You will feel a big difference once you have replaced the rft with quality normal tires. Also be aware , if you go for the famnous top brand Michellin PS/2 tires, they are out of stock vey often. Better check and order them in advance, and so as the rims you want to get. Dont let the tire shop convinces you to buy 235 front, try to order 225 and 255 if you go staggered. I like PS/2 because they are very quiet even our shocks are stiff and our roads are rough. I will also throw away the BFGoowich tires I have very soon.

VERY FUNNY :finger:
In fact I noticed that this shark thin is very small and extremly light. I think its light weight means it will be sitting firmly!

Ok, the black circles are called ROUNDELS. They are made in high quality. The pattern is like a form of hologram illuminating like carbon fibre ( but definitely looks better than the real carbon fibre ).

Each roundel is pre-cut into 4 slices like a cake. Each silce represents one slice of a BMW emblem. That means, each slice is used to cover up the blue slice of the BMW emblem, which makes the original emblem to become a CF emblem ! You can see different sizes of these roundels which mean they can be used for front/rear emblems , wheels center emblems, steerign wheel center emblem.
