MP3 CD Suddenly Stopped / i-Drive Reset...
I was listening to an MP3 CD today, and I've listened to it and another one for almost 2 weeks now, so they work fine.
Well, the past few days I noticed that I'd almost get through an entire song then before it ends, the CD player would jump to the next song. I dismissed it as a hiccup but it happened a few more times. Today, however, one song skipped, then later the whole CD just died on me mid-song, no sound. Radio worked, but CD didn't. I went to the next song and the numbers were rolling as if it was being played, but no sound. So I removed the CD and put it back in. Same thing. I switched to my 2nd MP3 CD, and got the same thing! I shut my car off and restarted at a stop light but that didn't help. Finally I used a regular audio CD (not MP3) and it worked, so I knew at least my CD player wasn't FUBAR'd. When I got to work I did the i-drive reset (both eject buttons + volume) then tried one of the MP3 CDs, and this time it started working again. I didn't test it out long, just long enough to know it works... hopefully it works and doesn't skip or die again. Anyone ever had this? Is it a known issue with a fix? BTW I checked this thread out first (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25242) but I don't think it's the same issue. I didn't go over any bumps.
