well, I ordered an M2, but i think the dealership was full of it
Yep. Ordered it on the 6th. Was a pain to get the purchase order, I am getting story after story on why I don't have a production number yet. And I just called BMW NA, and they give them a story of our systems are down. .
I guess back to the bottom of wait list I go . I had 2 dealers call me last week to place an order. ETA: If you know of a LBB or MG with DCT for MSPR please let me know. If not I will just get a used M4 |

I haven't checked in a week or so, but the last time I did, it was still up for grabs at 5G markup.
I didn't like the AW. It was too flat and didn't show off the hips and bulges enough. Also didn't work well with the black 437s. Lemme text my CA and see

In early April I went on a I must find an M2 binge calling and emailing about 50 dealerships. I found a dealer that said they had two allocations and an HEA car for sale. The HEA car is a stick and my knee is jacked up so i need a DCT.
I placed an order on the 6th with them, put 500 dollar down and signed a purchase order with them. I asked for a production number, and I got story after story after story from them about when I will get or when I will have one. I was given a few different dates of when I would have one and they have all past. Today I called BMW NA to see whats going on. The dealer said our systems are down, we don't know when they will be back up. So yet another story from the dealership. The dealership also said I was the first person to call about the M2, and I find that very hard to believe. |

I think they lied about the allocations and are stalling to see if they get an allocation. I emailed other dealers already to get back on their list. Really, I just BCCed them on the email to the dealer where I have the order placed |

College Station/Bryan BMW tried that on me with a non-refundable 1000 dollar deposit. I was like nope.
With all this craziness and lack of M2's. Might be considering a used M4 or a used Cayman S. |

I think it is likely you know this, but an M4 and a Cayman S are distinctly different driving machines. The Cayman S is my back-up if the M2 doesn't work out. An M4 is not.

Huh? I'd say the M4 drives a lot closer to a M2 than a Cayman S does. Same layout, same basic architecture (chassis and engine), similar weight balance, shares suspension parts, brakes, wheels, transmission, diff. Cayman S is mid engine, N/A and drives nothing like BMW M products.
