Any more information on this? Is it the military discount or something else? And is it from individual dealers or directly from BMW?

As I understand it, none are directly from the dealer.
1 - Do know Military is absolutely through BMW ($4,000 currently on X7).
2 - BMW CCA is $1,000 for the X7 currently and that has nothing to do with the dealer or BMW, you do this through BMW CCA.
3 - Loyalty, as I understand it, is through BMW (potentially BMW FS) as you only get it if you leased or financed. That maybe has changed in April as I've read some rumors that maybe BMW is applying a loyalty rebate to buyers who are paying cash or utilizing outside finance...

Yes, it is the military discount. At the end of fineprint says it.

I placed an order for an individual color '25 M60i today. The dealer agreed to a 8% discount before incentives.

While not what the dealer offers, I refinanced through PenFed and they are making the process super easy by sending me a check. They didn’t even ask for registration which most refinance companies/banks require. Basically mailed me a check to pay off current vendor and signed some papers indicating the vehicle is a security interest for the loan. Super easy. It was one of the better refinance rates I could find 6.59% or something like that. Still stupid high but better the original loan I was given a few weeks ago at 8.99%. Will keep ear to the ground for lower rates and co tongue to refinance where possible.

Our mortgage is 2.59% and Tesla auto loan was 2.49%. Seeing 6+% is painful.

Calling BS on this. Nobody gives free "protection". What's that supposed to mean?

Probably didn’t charge extra for some made-up ADM, like paint coating.

11% off for a 2024 or 2025? I am going to check one of the local dealership tomorrow to see what they are offering.

Ah, they added a bunch of ADM and unnecessary cost so the car wasn't selling. Big discount and no "charge" for protection makes a quick sale!

Do you mind sharing your build (what packages you got)?

Looks like this month’s finance apr for 2025 X7 is 5.29%. 2024 is 4.99%. It is a shame they raised it for MY2025 😑

They didn’t actually raise it, just the standard non-discounted rate for any car without an explicit special. Was the same way for the 760 before March.

Still better than most credit unions...unless they mark it up by 1%!

Many dealers I've contacted are quoting me 1-3% off MSRP for MY2024-40is sitting on their lot for more than 2 weeks collecting dust. It's over the phone. Is that a typical opening offer over the phone?

For a ‘24 still on the lot, you should be able to do MUCH better. See my comment from a few days ago:

A dealer on the East Coast offered 11% for a 2024 in production. He flat out refused to take my custom order because he already had more than 25 on the lot, and seemed desperate. I feel like he would have agreed to 12% had I been serious about buying that day.

If you want to custom order a 2025, I would suggest starting with broker pricing as the baseline for negotiation with the dealer. Pricing spreadsheets from multiple brokers are available here, which you can find with a quick search. All are in the range of 8-9%. Email the dealer and offer them that you have a configuration ready and that if they can match or exceed broker discounts, you will order through them today. That’s what I did.

Edited to add: Don’t reward dealers who play games. I walked out of a dealer on principle when he refused to take off a $600 dummy fee. Imagine losing a $100k+ sale over $600.

Thank you! Saw your post earlier. Gives me hope for a better deal on the 24s I’m pursuing. I was just kinda surprised to hear an opening offer that low for aging inventory.

I think I need to just show up in person with a targeted stock number, target %, and finance terms ready to roll (and be ready to sign).

Any benefit to getting pre-approval from BMW Finance prior to the in-person visit?

Appreciate your thoughts!
