All it takes is money!? A wrap would be cheaper though. Over here in europe they can make your car ANY color... cost is about 1,500 euros and three days in the shop. btw... a new complete paint job runs about 3K euros.
I want the paint to be original, but wrap would be fun too.

Yea... you know the one big downside of a wrap in my book, is that you don't have to wax the car anymore. AND for me that is like my theropy, when I bond with my car! lol I don't think I could own a car that I couldn't polish and wax from time to time. lol Kind of my man cave-time to bind with it.

I think Estoril would look great on the 1M. E36 M3's still look good in that color.

Sooo....no comments on Scotts new avatar??

Hood bulge of Mcar - but does not look like the 1er. headlights in particular. I personally like the current 1er body style, and Sibal render of the 1MC, its like the 1er on steroids with fenders flared and aggresive front grill.

As of currently the color remains exclusive to the M3 GTS and these two high level execs who are keen to keep their cars exclusive. BMW will not paint another car in Inka Orange due to the exclusiveness of the M3 GTS unless the color gets approved for series production - ie 1M.

Inka Orange is one color being looked at for the 1M but we also have a metallic Orange that might be more appropriate for the car , Power Green and Phoenix Yellow could return too.
I wouldn't mind Power Green either, if they won't let me do Inka

Power Green, for those who have no seen it: http://www.bimmerpost.com/2010/04/11...coupe-spotted/

Techno Violet is another lovely color:

If they're interested in suggestions, here are a few of my idea for colors that would look good on this car, and set it apart from the "regular" 135i:
-Silverstone
-Moonstone (Not sure if BMW wants to keep that "Individual" only)
-One of the Oranges. Colorado? I think there is another even darker than Inka, but I can't remember
-Hennarot maybe? I'm not sure if I should list it with the oranges
-Yellow (Phoenix or Dakar)
-Laguna Seca Blue
-Techno Violet
-Estoril Blue
-Mauritius Blue for the "Dark Blue"
-Space Gray
-Carbon Black
-Ruby Red
-Korral Red
-Hellrot
-Jet Black
-Alpine White

It may be worth their while to offer "normal" Individual colors as a separate $1800 checkbox, like with the 6 and 7. Especially for some of the unusual colors listed above, like Moostone, Techno Violet, Pheonix/Dakar, or Hennarot. And of course Ruby Black! Ruby Black is one of my favorite colors used on BMWs today, but I'm not sure if I could handle the maintenance on it. Keeping my Black Sapphire Z4 MC looking good isn't easy!

Just a few ideas for colors, I don't know if you were looking for any

And if they're listening Scott, PLEASE let us have cloth! PLEASE!

I LOVED the cloth interiors on the 1ers in BMW Welt! The Monaco blue/Black combination is amazing

EDIT: I would pay EXTRA for the cloth sports-seats available in the EU spec 1er...

I am convinced we'll get a cloth/leather combo. The cloth will probably have the ///M motorsport stripes. Should look awesome! Especially if the seats are lightweight.

Looks great! Be cool if the 1M had that front. But why the hood bulge on a hybrid? Isn't that an M specific part?

Thanks,

Mark.

The new front of the F20 will definitely have to grow on me. I need to see how tall the greenhouse is and how it flows with the rest of the car.

The engine is range extended three cylinder diesel backed up by twin electric motors.
The "hump" is to provide space for the front motor. Similar like the X6.

The image is the closest rendering yet to the face of the new F20 which will debut in Sporthatch guise first next summer.
It just looks fantastic. To understand the importance of the new 1er it will launch with significant innovations especially for a new model.

The Coupe and Cabrio differ somewhat slightly.

I have been asking for this for some time. I think it should be an option especially with the 4cyl models coming in the next couple of years. Dealers can't cry about cheapening the brand.

If they aren't offered, and I do an ED Order on the car, I'm going to see if I can pay extra to get that interior. I can't imagine it'd be that much more... They just have to assemble an extra cloth interior and stick it in the car. Not nearly as much trouble as painting, they don't have to stop the assembling line, and move the car to a different one for custom paint. They just need to have the EU spec cloth interior sent to point in the assembly line where the interior is installed.

About the Metallic Orange, would you mind to let us know if the tone is same as the Inka Orange but with metallic base?

Is it possible to have Laguna Seca Blue?
