Exhaust Flap
Hey guys,
Has anyone figured out a way to open the exhaust flap? I've tried starting the car and waiting for the cold start cycle to end, then entering sport mode, also tried to open in manually. Nothing seems to work. Also don't see this option yet in BimmerCode.

BimmerCode does not have that option, BimmerLink does. But I think you will need to connect BimmerLink each time you want to open the valves though. The only other option that might work is a valve controller by CG Precision, but I am not sure if their valve controller is compatible with the X7 yet...

That worked. Thanks!
I opened it up and unplugged it.

Any how-to on this?
The latest software coding on my m50i is leaving a lot to be desired from a sound quality/level point of view... The cold starts were much more impressive previously. Jay

Ours is a the 40i and it used to sound decent on start up. It's super quiet now after the update. Exhaust flaps are still open. Not sure what they did. I used BimmerLink to open it then just unplugged the module on the exhaust.
