Well I can't do it all at once due to bills and having kids the youngest only 5 months old that's why it's taking time, I've got my hols in June but hopefully get the exhaust next month.

Then after the hols I'll look more into the dpf delete and remap.

slowy but surely I'll get there, but the list is endless.

Come to think of it I've been saying for the last fortnight that my car hasn't felt as responsive.
I thought it might have been because of the weather change?

But today I have a fault code cc id 49 which means that the dpf is malfunctioning.

What is your engine temperature? If it's not high enought the DPF won't regenerate. Mine did this and it was a cheap fix by replacing the thermostats.

For what it's worth, when I was 22 I had a Mitsubishi Evo II. It was completely standard with its 191kW engine and 309Nm of torque - kerb weight of 1,250 kg / 2,750 lb. I raced a Carrera C2 along a motorway on-ramp one evening, and won fairly convincingly probably much to his surprise. I'm sure had we gone beyond 120-130kph he would have steamed past, but up to that speed it was a pretty clear victory to me. I don't believe it was a half-arsed attempt on his part either - my passenger window was down and I could hear him working his engine pretty hard. Moral of the story is power to weight is what counts as it did in my case, and in your case the Subaru probably weighed a good 200 kg less and would have had at least the same level of power. In any event I'd rather have had his Porsche just as you probably prefer your BMW.

Same. I know there are loads of cars out there faster than a stock 335i, but for me, at this point in time, mine does everything I ask of it. I see it as such a good all rounder and don't really feel it lacks anything. A guy in a throbbing STi can pull up next to me at the lights, and I'm not going to bother trying to race. I know he'll probably win, but I'd still rather be in my car. I sway between wanting to keep it stock, and giving it a remap but with traffic the way it is these days and so many police around, there's hardly any point in spending the money.

unsubscribing until you get a tune. no tune it's not worth the discussion when what you raced was obviously tuned.
