[2024 X7] How to show the navigation in HUD when using google maps in my iphone?

I just got my 2024 x7 and found I did not see the navigation in HUD when I use google map in my iphone via the carplay.

Does anyone know is that doable? Thanks.

Only Apple Maps works through HUD right now on CarPlay

And on Android you can get the same functionality when using Google Maps. Works great. I love it!

To be clear Waze will not show up in the drivers side display. Only Apple Maps and Google Maps can show up there.

This is useful in my iX since I can have the map right in front of me (and in the HUD) and the media player or other things displayed on the larger CarPlay screen in the right hand side.

Overall it works excellently!
