x7 close tailgate and back using remote when inside car

I am going camping and made a bed in the back of my x7. I want to get up into my bed in the back and use my remote to close both the upper and lower tailgates so I can lock myself into the vehicle. I cannot figure out a way to do it other than having a long 5' pole to attempt to press the close button on the back door and tailgate. Any way this is possible?

This was something that could be coded to the key fob in earlier BMWs.

Worst case scenario you can reach up to the front door panel and close from there.

OP you can close the tailgates from the front seat by holding the "trunk" button up (as you would hold the window button if you were closing a window).

I don't think the app can do it. On top of that, not all campgrounds have solid cell signal, so the app may not work at all.

I'm going to look around in protool to see if I can code this to the fob. It worked on my X5, but I haven't tried it on the X7 yet.
