ECU tune for 23 Alpina XB7?

Has anyone tuned a 2023 Alpina yet? If so who did you use and how do you like it? If no one has done it yet does anyone here know if it is even possible?

You need to send your DME to Femto in Finland to have it unlocked. You can then flash tune it with the tuner of your choice. Doubt many people want to forfeit their warranty on a new xb7 though so not sure how many tuned ones are out there.

I’m curious how much more power one can get. Seems we’re already at the top end of what this motor is capable of.

When I reached out to DME a couple years ago they wouldn’t touch it.

From what I know my friends with 2020 M550 (same motor) on the dynojet 100% stock hardware made 452whp/539wtq , Stg1 91 565whp/603wtq, Stg1 E30 OTS 650whp/663wtq but it was a while ago.

I should be dyno'ing my X7m50 in the next 2 weeks with Alpina XB7 Tune, Stg1 93, Stg1 E30, Stg1 E40 tunes.

Do you happen to know what tuner your friend used, or which tuner you are going with?

Difference with the Alpina motor is bigger turbos and intercoolers over standard N63TU.

G07 LCI X60 S68B44A = 11005A594F5 using DME 12145A58879.

G07 LCI XB7 S68B80A = 11005A64B62 using DME 12145A58F18.

100HP for either from Burger....https://burgertuning.com/products/s68-jb4-tuner

The 93oct and E30 results seems unbelievable. The power gain differences from 91 to 93, and 91 to E30 is crazy. It's even more crazy since this is a piggyback.

You guys need to be mindful of overloading the transfer case. The Alpina is already pushing 590 lb ft of torque. Given all the issues so far with the transfer case I’d be sure to keep an eye on the fluid as it’s said that many came from the factory with fluid that wasn’t up to spec and has caused a multitude of issues.

I had to have my T-Case replaced last month in my Alpina as it was shuddering at low speeds. I honestly don’t think they were built to withstand the torque these motors produce, tuned or otherwise.

I'm happy with my XB7...no desire to ask it to do more....and it's more about the balance the vehicle provides, than brute straight line performance.....just answering the OP.

Every ///M I've owned since the '90's were nice vehicles (some better than others), but they all had similar DNA (power with a stiff ride)....the Alpina vehicles have a completely different DNA (power with an AWESOME ride)....and the quiet cabins are a bonus.

Yes which will gain even more, now I see the N63T3 in the Alpina up to 2023 is what I was referring to before

The new 2024 S68 engine is not yet able to get unlocked.
