pic req: 18 inch wheels on NON-SPORT e9x...
hi all...
my car is coming on tuesday on a flat bed. it's got 16x7 all-around. i've already got a gorgeous set of 189s sitting in my garage. my only fear is how big the gap might be between the tire and the rear fender, especially. would appreciate some direct side shots of your rides that were NON-SPORT packaged, on 18s. visually the 16s don;t look good to me, but because the sidewall is so much taller, the gap is not that horrid. on the other hand, while the 18 inch wheels and tires will visually be better, the gap might be a bit too big. guess it's too late. i have NO plans of modding the car, suspension or otherwise. it's going to be my wife's car, and it's great that we happen to both love wagons. so post away, and thanks in advance.

stumbled upon this (still don't know the right search string...)
massbimmer's ride - checked sig - looks like non-sport perhaps, but it's an xi. not sure, but here goes. they're 18x8.5 all-around. oops - just noticed he's running 235/40/18, not the usual 225/40. so that would make the sidewall a tad taller, which of course would help reduce the visual gap between the wheel and fender. he is also running spacers...so might be a close approximation of what i could expect, but not quite. oh well, if craig or someone else does not chime in with their searching talents, my car is coming in tomorrow. wheels should be up in a day or 2. and i'll post. no searching required. hahahaha. here's more: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=334737

with apologies and thanks to the contributors, i thought i'd search for more pics based on their user names. really helpful, so really, thank you.
c_jeong's... atwell's... atwell, since it's my wife's car, no plans for any mods, save the wheels. i realize it won't be ideal, but am keeping my fingers crossed that the gap won't be too huge. if it is, it is what it is. so far, i think i can live with it. btw - as far as searching, since the forum search engine is a bit picky with short words, i ended up searching from google. i know i did it correctly, as my query came up in the search results.
