On the bmw.de site there is “Edelholzausführung "Fineline" schwarz mit Metalleffekt hochglänzend”. Any idea what trim that is, is that not available in US?

That's a good catch. That's the Fineline Black Wood Trim which comes standard with the M Sport Package (or on the M60).

Yeah hard to say if the gloss trims catch fingerprints or not. I know the piano black for sure does. I currently have the "Individual Fine Wood Ash Grain trim with High Gloss Silver" trim in my X5 and haven't had any issues with fingerprints. But it's a very light colored trim.

I have this on my '22 X7, not bad with finger prints. Definitely the best trim option IMO (maybe Piano black is better, but not $1000 better).

If you look at the pictures I posted... fineline open pore wood trim is the first picture... finalize black wood trim is the last picture.

I was about to go search for pictures of the trims. I particularly appreciate those zoomed-in pictures...I'm going with 4kR!
