Breakfast: Eggs, an orange apple or banana, and a coffee.
-I also substituted the eggs with oatmeal or a yogurt. Whatever I had time for.

Lunch: A sandwich and soup. Of course, lean meat and wheat bread. Filled that bad boy up with all sorts of vegetables to get me full.

Dinner: lean meat (pork chops, steak, chicken breast) Rice, or potatoes. Any kind of vegetables.

I began to love what I was eating, I didn't even have the appetite for junk anymore after a couple weeks.

Supplements were not used at all throughout my ninety days, I had a couple protein shakes but thats about it. I would rather eat a steak or tuna rather than a shake.

For energy I used protein bars (not too many, and not everyday) cliff bars are yummy.

But thats about it.

Put it this way, just eat healthy and pure an you will see results. Guarantee.

I followed the workout program to the T though, did my workouts at the same time of day and tried my hardest. I skipped a few workouts but I would substitute them with some other sort of physical activity. Yoga was a pain in the ass so I normally only did the first half. Skipped a couple of the Xstretches. Other than that I was strict with the workout.

When I started I was only able to do a couple pull ups, and I was getting so warn out. Now I can do 20+ pull ups, and want to do more after I finish working out. One handed push ups were impossible, easily doing 25 now. I feel great!
Good stuff man! Props for sticking with it cuz I haven't been able too. I'm 6'1, 175 pounds. While back I stuck with it for about a month and a half and managed to loose 15 pounds, but the funny thing I wasn't even trying to loose weight! Lol

I'm gonna attempt to give it a go soon cuz I've been procrastinating for far too long!

I, also hate yoga, but substitute it for cardio. Anyways keep us updated on round 2!

Good stuff man. Yeah, I haven't stuck with the nutrition plan either. Usually, I'll have fruits and a coffee in the morning, then a salad for lunch. For snacking, I eat peanuts (Almonds, cashews, etc.) Then for dinner, I would have chicken, salmon or steak with rice and vegetables of course. do

After my workouts, I would mix the recovery powder and make a smoothie out of it. Not really a fan of just water and recovery powder. I use the mix frozen fruit with a spoonful of sherbet and the recovery powder. Good stuff.

not really into p90x at this point in time. although i have heard amazing things. that is more for the future; for now im trying to gain mass with heavy lifting. but every ab day i do the p90x ab ripper and OH MY GOD that is hard. i cant finish all of the entire workout, but i get close to finish each section. i definetely respect all the hardcore p90xers! props

The first 45 minutes or so is the hard part, the rest is static stretching.

Because most ppl don't even bother working out on their legs, hips and glutes.

If you don't like it, it means it is probably good for you lol

Your ab muscles need a day of rest to recover and build

Bad idea, that'll work against your progress if anything. Your abdominal muscles need time to recover before you can work them again. Tony Horton himself remarks that at the end of Ab Ripper X.

I have a quick question for you guys with p90x. I recently had surgery during my first rest week and it looks like I will be missing another week before I can start over. Has anyone had any experience with missing a week or two and picking it back up? How hard is it? What helped?

One thing to remember on any exercise program.. it's a marathon. You don't get out of shape in 1 week (or month, etc...) and you don't get into shape in that same time. You will get sore again, and maybe be a little slower in some of the moves, but it will come back. Missing a week here or there is fine. Life just gets in the way now and then. Just pick up where you left off and extend the total effort for 1 week. If you need to miss a couple of weeks, just start that phase all over again.

That's what I thought about it. I'm glad to hear about other guys experiences though. I will be restarting it next Monday and extending the first phase. I live for p90x. The results are incredible if you follow the nutrition guide.

Honestly, it's no different than someone transitioning from not doing anything to starting P90x. Stopping and restarting is not a big deal, it just takes longer to complete the program and the results might not be as dramatic.

It's certainly better than quitting or not doing it at all.

Here is my before and after shots...about a year in between the photos, the after one was taken about a month ago. I did one round of p90x as well as hit the gym hard, now ive stopped p90x and started lifting heavy 3 days a week and doing high intensity cardio twice a week. P90x played a large part in my transformation but ALOT of it is diet, without eating right theres no point in even doing the rest. Sorry the first pic is blurry.
