Most of the time BMW has used "i" to signify fuel injected, but not always!

The 2002 ti was carbureted. The ti stood for Touring International (yes, 9 years does get you something).

The injected version was the 2002 tii.

Thank you very much for defending me, dawg ... I know that I was not dreaming when I was taught that the very first time BMW used the nomenclature designation "i" it was for when they sold their first vehicles outside Europe.

If the BMW manual now says "i" is for "injected" then so be it ... but as far as I am concerned, it was not always the case.
