iOS 13 CarPlay HUD
I have been having issues with playing songs through the HUD in Apple Music. It shows me the list of songs in the playlist, but when I go to select a specific song it doesn't do anything. It doesn't play the song like it should. Anyone experiencing this?

Using CarPlay and Apple Music: 1. If you have a personal Playlist that's stored on your iPhone (ex Mom's Favorite Beatles Songs) that you built yourself in iTunes, the display will show the list of songs but scrolling to a track and clicking on it does nothing. 2. If you call up an Apple Music curated Playlist that's streamed to your phone (ex Beatles Essentials) that Apple Music built themselves, it will work as it should- scroll through the songs, pick the one you want, push the wheel on the steering wheel to play it. So something broke in iOS 13 that won't allow Playlists personally created and stored on your iPhone to be navigable where the ones that are created and streamed by Apple Music work just as intended. One Playlist is a series of files on your phone, the other data that's streamed from the cloud. Note that I am running the new iOS 13.1.2 from this morning and it's broken there too. |

See my post above, it's what I'm experiencing. Try this for me:
Using CarPlay, press and hold the voice button and say "Play Playlist [name of a Playlist you personally created in iTunes or on your phone]" That should not allow you to scroll, pick a song, push the wheel, and play the song. Next, using CarPlay, press and hold the voice button and say "Play Bruce Springsteen Essentials". That should bring up the Apple Music curated Playlist of his best songs and now you should be able to scroll, pick a song, push the wheel, and hear the song play as intended. Two different types of Playlists with two different types of source material. One is comprised of files stored on your iPhone's drive, the other data streamed from the cloud. |
