The driver side front seat recliner stops in a rather upright position and does not recline like it should. The passenger side works fine. Also a plastic trim piece under the 2nd row came loose when I was taking delivery on Sunday.

Wrinkles were acceptable to me.

Must be the new seat supplier Magna growing through start up issues.

It will need to go back to the dealer.

Update: my sales guy says the 2nd row might not be latched correctly. They do this so it can fold down and not have the front seat interfere. I will try this.

Update: the seat reclining issue is fixed.

What caused the problem was the 2nd row seat not being latched properly after moving to access row 3. The solution was simple. Just push the arrow button to open and then the opposite arrow to return it back to the normal position. They limit the front recline when you open to give clearance for the 2nd row seat to move forward.


The dealer told me they saw this with the first x7 they got in.

As regards to the trim piece, we will take it back. It should be reattachable.
