I like the X7 but will likely go with the 50i given the size and weight of the car. As good as the inline-6 is, I don't think it will have enough torque to move that much weight at highway speed when needed for passing. |

Funny, I was looking at my '17 450 GLS that's going back tomorrow and it has fake vents on the front! They are solid plastic, looking like open mesh, but all is closed by plastic and looks like shit! lol
I believe both the 4.0i and 5.0i are both open and if not, simply buy open ones and swap out! IMO, well worth it for the M look.

Still undecided myself. I like the standard luxury look better in white with the 22’s than the M sport. But the wife prefers the M sport look. Glad to see its just cosmetics and nothing to do with suspension modification as even though she would be mostly driving it we made the mistake last time getting the x5m as a family car when we had two baby seats in the back and the ride was horrible, the gas tank was the size of a disposable lighter, had to stop way to often on family trips for gas... the engine literally useless with two babies in the car Im leaning X7 but wife wants to wait and see the aviator/Gle in person Will give the lease rates a chance to normalize as well . May get lucky and find a 4.0 fully loaded that gets stuck on a dealer lot for months and can hopefully swoop in at $1000 per month lease at some point. Thats what i did with my fathers 750 i got him. $124k sticker at $1250 per month with everything rolled in. Just had to pay $700 in shipping from Missouri. Crushed the $1600 i was being quoted on an ordered car locally

So took delivery today and the M package really pops on the X7 and add some great looks and performance features!
The M sport transmission, comes into play once you push the sport button on the console. You also know your went "M", cause the M colors show up in the display. You also can pop shifter to the left and further engage Sportier shifting or manual shift mode. I'm not sure, but I'm assuming the strut bracing is M as well?? Here's some pics reflecting above.

If it was M, they'd slap a carbon fiber brace or ///M branding on it. Only ///M vehicles will have M bracing, like the new X3/4 M

I have to reluctantly admit, the glass controls are growing on me. I really didn't like them at first, but now am so-so

Agreed, we wouldn't have ordered them, but were "stuck" with them, since we needed a new SUV ASAP and jumped on this in production 3 week's ago. Now we love it, real nice touch!
