We placed my 40i order Dec 16 asking for a performance center pick up. Initially they would not confirm PC pick up and emailed saying that it was delayed because of options. They emailed Jan 16th confirming PC delivery. I was hoping that it would move into a new stage shortly after that, though it remains in 111. Curious if others who have done (or are doing) the PC pick up had a similar experience and if so, what sort of timing/gap there was between the stages. Also curious if others with black full merino leather have had any delays on their orders. The build website says that it could cause a delay…. No one is saying if it actually is causing a delay. Also not sure if any of the other options may be causing issues. We’re hoping for a an early March pick up, so still time to wait, though the waiting is becoming harder! Thanks for any insight on this.

Just checked, and yes. Sometime between 1:00am and 7:30am it moved to “Dispatched To Factory”. It sat at “Awaiting Carrier Assignement” for somewhere between 42 and 48 hours.

I also just spoke with the Genius who said it’s scheduled for arrival at the VPC in Renton, WA on 2/16/23 where it will sit for a few days until it goes to the dealership. Once it’s at the dealership I. was told it’s another 2-3 days until they can deliver. So I’m not even looking at delivery for another four weeks, just enough time for interest rates to go up another point and the value of my trade to go down another $1000. I’m really annoyed it takes that long to take delivery after the car is completed. It’s not just the wait, it’s the fact that all the time is literally costing me money.

Should I give hope and anticipation to this date or somewhere near then??

Genius was right on the dot when they told me week 4 of 2023. Keep in mind, thats the week production is completed. For example, mine was week 4 of 2023 and production was completed on 1/24/23. From what I am seeing, they are pretty accurate on that. Yours will probably moved into production during week 6 and be completed week 8.

I placed my order early Jan. My status was on 112 less than 12 hours then it jumped back to 111 but my anticipated production week should be week 9 according to my dealer.

Seems we’re just in front of you. We ordered in Mid Dec, went to 112 on the 19th of Jan. I just called Genius and they said week 7. We’re doing a performance center pick up and are hoping for an early March pick up. The dealer is aware and we’re hoping they can block our desired date. Not sure how far out that books up or how long after it’s produced that it’s ready for pick up.

My status is currently at “Dispatched from Factory”. I am only a 7 hour drive from the plant, I was hoping I would jump right to “In Transit”.

Do you know why it has to stay at dealership for 2-3 days before delivery?

They have to do their pre-delivery inspection, detailing, programming, etc. My dealer said it takes 2-3 days depending on how many cars they get in, now many service and tech people are available, etc.

My still in Awaiting carrier assignment for 38+ hours now Sucks that car spend 3+ days on factory after assembly finished.

That does suck. Mine moved pretty quickly out of Awaiting Carrier Assignment. I’m located outside of Washington D.C. and I suspect we have a lot of vehicles transported here.
