Question about rear wheels
I have a 2006 z4 3.0i my son noticed last night that the rear wheels are slightly angled. I do not think i have ever noticed this before but it is hard to see because of the shape of the fenders. May seem like a stupid question but if i put level on the front of the wheel should it be level? The bottom seems to be out and top in.

It's normal. The negative cambers you saw contribute to the cornering performance.

ive noticed that also on my Z. i wasnt sure if it was actually negative camber or a sort of optical illusion. i wish i had one of thoes tire depth gauges to check how much the treadware difference is between the inside and outside tire sections.

Like GP20 said, this is normal.
The tradeoff of having a sports car with great handling is the additional tire wear.

Second that nmulax! The wear is going to occur, so it is motivation to drive the car like it was designed to be driven! Beautiful day here in Ft Worth, just finished my FLCA replacement (Thursday-Meyles with Poly bushings), but my front bumper trim is not installed, so I just did heighborhood checkout. Check Six! |
