Couldn’t agree with this anymore. So much differing information and dates. My head is spinning. Don’t know what to believe ant this point and I just want that call from my CA.

Here is the curve ball, he says all other vehicles held up for stop sale at the dealership got cleared except mine.

What is meant by the BMW Assist System? Is it something relating to the dealer connection with BMW factory or is it the remote software update available from the navigation system in the car?

For what it's worth, I managed to get access to TIS and looked up the cars at my dealers lot on the AIR system. All still show the stop sale. The Service Bulletin related to the recall still shows "late October" as the fix date.

Just spoke with my SA at the dealership, I am in New Hampshire, he said they were told they will get the update at some point today, they do not know exactly when today though.

So weird how Oct 7th has become the date for some folks and Oct 20th has become the date for others.

I'm thinking there's some sort of echo chamber within the BMW dealership community and people are just hearing stuff that reinforces their beliefs.

Reminds me of the spoof text messages that flew around NYC at the start of COVID that they were going to shut the bridges into Manhattan.

Looks like the recall is now showing up for VIN, can someone confirm? I see a non-compliance issue with defect code 0063840100 showing up for my VIN with “open” status. It was not there yesterday, definitely something happening but definitely conflicting and confusing messages going around.

I can confirm that my VIN check just changed to show the open headlight issue. It wasn't there yesterday.

I believe unless a fix is available BMW doesn’t show the recall. May be positive news, still unclear when will the dealers get it.

Our X7 arrived at the dealership, just drove by and saw it for myself. Spoke to SA and delivery is set for tomorrow!

My dealer said the fix was released, told me either will be completed by today or sometime tomorrow. I'm planning to pick it up on Monday and getting all the paperwork completed.

Mine never arrived to the dealership yesterday. It finally turned to “Dispatches from Factory” today around 10:30. My SA says she’s seeing on her end it won’t arrive in DFW until 9/12. 5 days to drive 14 hours?? This all has consumed way too much of my life these past few weeks!

When does it switch from “Dispatched from Factory” to “In Transit”
